A wonderfull movie for the whole family

This is a lovely DVD movie, with English subtitles, that any parent or grandparent would enjoy viewing with children anywhere from three on up. It is about a baby camel that is rejected by its mother after a difficult labor and birth--very sensitively done, and features wonderful family scenes from infants to grandparents, all of whom occupy a yurt together. I purchased this after borrowing it from our local library--a keeper in my small collection of DVD's I would watch more than once.

One of the best films I've ever seen. A poignant look at nomadic life in Mongolia's Gobi desert. The people, culture and animals in this film are beautiful - I cannot rave about this film enough; this one is not to be missed.

The Weeping CamelOriginally I checked this movie out of the local library. I was somewhat hesitant due to the sub-title nature of the movie. However, after watching the movie, I fell in love with the simple story of people who live in a sense of harmony with nature and animals. I had to own the movie to watch again and again. I have been pressing friends and family alike to watch, not just the story of the camel, but also the sociological story of a people just on the edge of probable extinction due to modern technology. I highly recommend this for family viewing or in the classroom as an educational tool. J.P.

Wonderful!This is a lovely film, very touching and culturally fascinating. It is almost in real-time, so don't expect a fast-paced swashbuckler, just get into the groove and enjoy the rich details.

BEST MOVIE EVER!!! Great Story family or adult movie and somewhat of a documentary. You will love this movie and get so into the story. Its also a great example of how the people of Mongolia live, allowing the children of 5 yrs old ride all the way into town for miles alone.

Excellent condition
) This is a difficult movie to find. It was at a good price so I grabbed it. It was packed perfectly in a bubble wrap envelope and shipped out quickly to me. It was in excellent condition. Like brand new, and the jacket perfect too. I am enjoying it. This seller is a wonderful and precise ebay dealer. I would definately trust him with another purchase.

This movie gives an inside view of a Mongolian family in the Gobi Desert. The main action revolves around a mother camel who, due to a difficult birth, has rejected her infant and the efforts of the family to keep the baby camel alive and reunite him with his mother. In addition to this story line, the viewer is given an opportunity to see the family's lifestyle and traditions. This was filmed in the native language so subtitles are necessary. A very interesting film if you enjoy learning about other cultures. I bought this film on the recommendation of someone who had seen it and liked it. I was not disappointed.
