The Story of Little Black Sambo by H. Bannerman (1996, Hardcover, Reissue)

Little Black Sambo was my favorite story as a child. When my own children were born I was unable to find a copy of Little Black Sambo, so I would tell them the story from memory.
When I got started using E-Bay and found a copy I was so excited that I had to purchase it.
Now 52 years later I can share my childhood treasure with my grandchildren.

great service - book came packaged great - book was great condition. wanted this book to read to my grandchildren. i had this book for my childrean and could not find it - now i have it again. love the story and the moral it has.

This is a children's book. As a child my grandmother gave me this book. I was blind to any color. This is a book with a good moral. It also depicts how other places could be like. And, it is a fantasy. Who doesn't want to believe that tigers talk. The best part of the story is the happy ending. And we all need more of that.

I have enjoyed sharing this classic with my grandchildren. They are as thrilled with the excitement of the story as I was. It kept their interest and have wanted pancakes often! the size of the book is perfect for little and big hands. The pages were colorful.

The book was a story I read as a child, and could recite most of it as soon as I looked at the pictures. What a great meaning to a story. I am so glad they are reproducing stories from my childhood. I bought one for each of my brothers and sisters after I received this book. We were baby boomers and lived through all these phases. I just love to reminise about our childhood and all the memories we all have about our favorite stories.

This is a book I got for my youngest son, I remember reading it in school, and when I was telling him the story one day, he thought I was just making it up, so I got it for him. It is classified as American Literature and I am glad it is in reprint again.

I loved this book as a child and now. My mother has always said that after we read this book, she would have to make some pancakes. The tigers turning into butter looks so real and always left me "tasting" those wonderful, warm, buttery pancakes. I bought this book so I would have 2 of them, one for each of my children.

This was one of our favorite childhood stories. My older sister got the one we had as children. Even though this is not the same size or cover of our book that was an orginal one, it still brings back fond memories and is a great size for display.

I loved this book when I was a 'little' girl, now I am a 'little' old lady (haha)and was surprised to see it on the selling lists many yrs ago we were told it was prejudical to the BLACKS but if they had read the book correctly, Little Black Sambo was from INDIA and actually he was a hero because he out smarted all those tigers why would any one think that was so bad or sterio typing makes no sense to me and I am glad to own the book again
