It's a cute story, my grandson loves trains. Has many pritures which they like to look at. Great story for kids, they love Thomas and all the other train engines.

) Very cute Thomas book...good for preschoolers. I like the pictures in this book, they are not like some of the weird Thomas books out there. I love the beginning reader series...not too many words like some of the Thomas books! Great for 3 year olds. I bought it on Ebay b/c of the $9 sticker price in the store...I wanted a better deal.

) This book would be an excellent first reader for a Thomas fan. It's very simply written, but would really hold a beginning reader's interest. My son don't read yet, but he loves to have it read to him, although I must admit it's not the most fascinating book for the adult reader! He love the scenes where the train is going too fast and all sorts of things are splashing and crashing around because the train is going too fast.

My 3-year-old daughter recently became obsessed with Thomas the Train. Many of the picture books are very very long with harder vocabulary words. This book is great as it is considered an easy reader. It is shorter than the picture books and has simple rhyming words, making it a perfect bedtime story that holds my daughter's interest. She enjoys the accompanying illustrations as well--she knows this book by heart! When she is older hopefully she will be able to use it to learn to read. Highly recommended for the younger Thomas fans or for primary school children just learning to read.
