Those who have a low tolerance for lowbrow humor may as well stop reading right now. Others will be glad to know that those indefatigable icons of prank phone call comedy are still going strong on STOP STARING AT ME. As on the Jerkys' other albums, there are dozens of vignettes wherein our antiheroes antagonize the general populace with their brand of telephone terrorism. Unlike their southern equivalent Roy D. Mercer, the Jerky Boys never give away the game, keeping their hapless victims in a state of emotional disarray the entire time. It's the psychological uncertainty this approach engenders that creates the tension so essential for humor to be successful. Fans of the Jerkys' previous recordings will find plenty to guffaw over on STOP STARING AT ME.

3 stars (out of 5) - ...Frank Rizzo trying to convince what sounds like an octogenarian that the pair were once friends and hung out with Frank Sinatra and, elsewhere, camp Hispanic Roisine calling a balloon shop...are worth the cover price alone.

4 stars (out of 5) - ...'Pork Fried Rice' is without a doubt the most childishly offensive thing...heard in ages. Rispek! The CD is enhanced apparently, though thankfully, not with good taste.
