Stir of Echoes - OnlyHD versions on D-VHS and Blu-Ray

This movie is out in several different formats: VHS, DVD, Blu-Ray and D-VHS (digital theater). The VHS version has roughly 220 or so lines of resolution. The DVD of course is much better quality at 400. The Digital Theater (D-VHS) VHS and Blu-Ray DVD is in 1080i offers the best viewing experience. The D-VHS version was the first HD format for this movie. A few years later this movie was produced in Blu-Ray DVD format. Both formats offer 1080i resolution but the disc format beat the tape format.
Unfortunately, D-VHS never caught on and is now out of production (since 2005). Movies are no longer available through JVC's Digital Theater website but are listed on Amazon, Half, eBay, and other sites as well. This movie was never produced on the now defunct HD-DVD format either.
So today you have 4 different options for viewing this movie, but only Blu-Ray and regular DVD are still in production.
So hold on to your D-VHS version if you have one as they are very hard to come by and matches Blu-Ray quality. One last tid-bit for D-VHS fans, Digital Theater machines are backwards compatible so you can also watch your old movies as well!
