JIM KAAT A REAL HALL OF FAMER
Review created: 12/04/09

I bought this book to learn more about a member of the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame, Jim Kaat. After reading what I consider a very interesting account of what should be a Hall of Fame career, I feel that he should be in the Baseball Hall of Fame as well. A very well written account of life in the minors, the majors , and beyond, Kaat has a very easy story telling style that is both informative and interesting. If you are interested in baseball personalities, this book will prove to be money well spent.

I read about 4 or 5 books a month and STILL PITCHING was one of those books that I read rather quickly because I enjoyed it so much.

This was a great baseball book. It was well written and honest. There were a lot of good baseball stories from my era.

Well done. Kaat should be in the Hall of Fame.

  Still Pitching - Great book!
Review created: 01/05/07

We've listened/watched Jim Kaat for many years during all the Yankee baseball games, his knowledge of the game, people and memories were wonderful. We will miss him, now that's he's retired. I bought this book for my husband for Christmas 2006, by New Years Day he was done with the book and loved it. I'll read it too, it's not just for men. It's for those who love the game and all that goes with it.
Thanks for letting me review this, it was my pleasure.

Excellent book by an excellent ambassador of the game
Review created: 11/03/06

Jim Kaat has impressed baseball fans for decades, first as a crafty and successful pitcher known for his longevity and more recently as an Emmy winning broadcaster. In this book, Kaat tells a fascinating personal history and demonstrates his impressive knowledge of the game. Coaches, players, and fans of baseball who would like to be a more complete student of the game would be well served to read this book. It is an excellent addition to any baseball library and an accurate reflection of Jim Kaat as a gentleman and one of baseball's greatest - and most enduring - ambassadors.
