Catchy title with a lesson

I love how Szymusiak addresses the myth of 'reading to learn' in upper grades as opposed to learning to read. Children are still learning to read and may continue that journey for the rest of their life. The writing starts off dry and goes through a lot of classroom decor and set-up before getting into skill lessons. Great for ideas on creating an in-class library and how to effectively use classroom space. My only criticism is that the writing is dry in comparison to other books, specifically Fletcher and Portalupi. Although the delivery isn't as enjoyable, the information is still very well portrayed and relevant.
