Sticky Fingers by Rolling Stones (The) (CD, Jul-1994, Virgin Records USA)

I can listen to it over and over again! I love it! And I treasure the LP with the Andy Warhol cover! Great Classic!

A really good album that would have been great, except that the Stones release so d**m many "greatest hits" albums. Some Of the songs sound stale to me. For instance if I hear Brown Sugar one more time I think I'm going to puke.

Classics done in classic Rolling Stones genre !! Some really great tunes from 70's, number one hits and some I was un familiar with. Really superb !

my husband and i just got our cd and i must say he's so happy to have it.. i think he's going to drive me crazy.. i guess it makes him feel young again..

STICKY FINGERS IS A GOOD TITLE CAUSE,,,BY THE TIME YER DONE LISTNING TO THE ALBUM YER FINGERS WOULD BE STICKY FROM YOUR GORLFRIENDS BLANK ALL OVER YOU. FURTHER MORE THIS RECORD IS MEANT TO BE PLAYED LOUD, AND IT IS . IN 1971 this was one of the cornerstones in the rock world were people new how to play an instument.NOW ITS ALL COMPUTERIZED BULSHIT GHETTO GARBAGE..WITH THE EXCEPTION O OF RAY QUON ,GHOST FACE, THE ENTIRE WOO TAN CLAN ALL ORIGINAL SIT.A CLASSIC ALBUM-CD -OR DVD TO OWN.

Great example of the talent of the Rolling Stones. Brown Sugar is an all time favorite. The album cover the Blues crosses into Rock and it just flows through the speakers...

Classic and ranks among this band's top five efforts. Nothing has been lost in the meaningfulness of the lyrics nor has the style of this now classic album been minimized by the passage of time.

For me, this was my first ever Rolling Stones purchase, being in a band , this cd, had a lot of great Stones Songs.....

cd is awesome all the old Stone's favs I never realized were on this LP. i am really enjoying listening to this cd.

One of the greatest rock albums of all time! When the Rolling Stones were at their creative peak. The writing by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards was very inspired and the Musicianship is truely topnotch.

My favorite Stones album has been Exile On Main Street for a while. After listening to this one, I'm not so sure. That one is a great collection with every song being good, and with it's length, I still have to give Exile the slight edge.

That being said, this is right up there with that album. The only difference is that this one has some of the Stone's best songs ever, including some that are ignored on their greatest hits collections. Sure this one has great standards like Brown Sugar and Wild Horses, but 2 songs that are usually ignored on best ofs are Can't You Hear Me Knocking and the underrated Bitch. Those two songs deserve the notoriety that goes with their best songs ever. Knocking is an excellent song through and through including a cool instrumental outro that'll drive you nuts for days because you can't get the cool riffs out of your head. Same with Bitch's main riff. Bitch just plain rocks. The rest of the album is pretty good. Sway, You Gotta Move, Sister Morphine, Moonlight Mile, and I Got The Blues are all better than average songs, and Dead Flowers is a cool song that's crossed between Creedence and Bob Dylan.

With little or no filler, Sticky Fingers has what it takes to be one of the best albums of all time. It has great songs and shows once again why Jagger and Richards are one of the best songwriting combos ever. I slightly prefer Exile over this one, if for nothing else, it's album length. But how can you argue with any of their tunes on this one? Brown Sugar, Wild Horses, Can't You Hear Me Knocking, and Bitch are four of their best songs. So this one should definitely be in anyone's collection, whether you're a die hard or casual fan. Even if you have 40 Licks (by far their best Greatest Hits compilation), this one should be in your collection because of the omissions of Knocking and Bitch on that double album.
