Steve & Me by Terri Irwin (2007, Hardcover)

I was given this book as an early Christmas gift so began reading it and couldn't stop. When you think back on Steve's exuberant, fearless personality on TV, it is almost impossible to believe that his life was robbed by a sting-ray. As his wife, Terri puts it, there are not many women in the world who would spend their honeymoon night trapping crocodiles, but that footage lead to their first TV episode and made them superstars. The family photos are truly touching and beautiful and the fact that Terri says from the first that she knew this khaki-clad Aussie was her prince charming, makes the book a tribute to keep him alive in her heart and in ours.

This was truly a story told by someone that loved and admired her husband. I purchased this book because my family and I have watched Steve's adventures for years and his passing was such a loss to the world. He has left a legacy that his family will carry on and his fans will wait to see more on the work he loved. I especially loved the family photos and will treasure this book for years. This is a book for all ages who appreciated and loved this wonderful man.

Wanted more insight into the life of Terri and Steve Irwin. It was very good to be able to share some new parts of their lives previously unknown. Many of us still feel and incredible emptiness due to the passing of Steveo, as we were a part of the Irwin's life since the early 1990s. This was a very fulfilling and interesting journey as seen and experienced by Terri Irwin . It was 1/2 love story and 1/2 conservation journal. I would recommend it for everyone ages 14 and older who followed the messages of Steve and Terri Irwin and their family at Australia Zoo. It made me smile and cry in turn and gave me hope for the future of our natural world.

Very good book. Had me in tears a few times. Much I did not know about the Irwin's life. I highly recommend if you are interested in Wildlife conservation or the Crocodile Hunter's work.

Having read this book I really feel closer to our enviroment. We live about 50 miles from Terri's home in Oregon and like to consider her our neighbor. I enjoyed this book because it was as if she was talking to me in my own home as a friend. I wish she had the time to write more about the jokes and fun the zoo people had. It is a book that should be required reading in school to educate the younger generation about our animal relatives and to show what REAL love is. Excellent book!!!!

I enjoyed the book even though we know how it ends, it is nice to know that Steve Irwin was even more then I realized a true conservation hero. I admire Terri sharing her story I know that was a hard thing to do in her given circumstaces. We do miss ya mate!

I bought this book not for my love of the Irwins or Crocs but because I love reading biographies..this one though written by an amateur was touching, thought provoking and a classic in it's own right..like Terri I met my Soul Mate by chance we've been through alot so I feel her pain..unlike most bios I got the feeling Terri was speaking directly to me...she made me laugh, cry and yes I even gasped out loud a few times..I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good biography..5 out of 5 bars!

If their were EVER 2 people that were meant to be together it was Steve and Terri. True solemates. She had a fairy tale courtship and wedding and in my opinion, life. There will never be another Steve for her and I feel there would have never been nother Terri for him. It's a wonnderful love story-keep the hankies handy.

Steve and me was a great book. I bought it because my kids love Steve Irwin. They loved the book so much they are reading it again.

I love anything that has to do with Steve& Terri Irwin. or their Zoo.
I plan on moving there and working at the Zoo hopefully next year.

Not the best written book in the world but fascinating to learn a little about the Crocodile Hunter's home/family life. I agree with Terri when she says it was fate & destiny that brought them together & that they were soul mates. From her story, I can't imagine either of them with their personalities being with anyone else!!

I bought the book because I am a big Croc Hunter Fan. Before reading it I thought I knew alot about the Croc-Irwin family. However, after reading the book I had a new found love for them. Terri did an excellent job with this book. Stories and ideas of Steve that were never told before. Their love for animals is so strong and powerful. And I have only know a few people that have married their soulmate. And they were truly soulmates. The story from start to finish wonderfully written and I'm sure wonderfully lived. I look forward to reading anything and everything that Terri writes. I could hardly put the book down. A must have book for your library.

I love the Irwin family! That's why I bought this book. Steve Irwin had such enthusiam and honesty when I watched him on The Crocodile shows and it was all genuine! That was the REAL Steve that we watched and continue to watch on TV. What a beautiful family! I wanted to know more about Terri and their lives behind the scenes. The world lost a great man, a great father, and a great ambassador to all of the "not so beautiful" animals of the world. He even convinced me that SPIDERS can be wonderful creatures-I couldn't stand them before. Terri and Steve absolutely were soul mates. The book explains how they were actually one soul in two separate bodies and how much they loved each other. I feel as if I actually KNOW them and they live half a world away. Steve has left such a wonderful legacy to all of the people of the world: his wife, his children, and his love of life and animals. We, as humans, are the protectors of the earth and we must preserve it. I think Terri summed it up best when she said in the book..."When your hero dies, everything he stood for does not end. Everything he stood for must continue." GET THIS BOOK! I finished it in one day and couldn't put it down. CROCS and the Irwins RULE! salt5603

It told alot about how they met and fell in love. It let me know their whole life story. It was a great book that I will keep forever!
