      One of King's best

I've been reading Stephen King for years, and this was one of the first that really creeped me out. If you're looking for a good scare this is a great choice for the beginner King. This is King at his finest ghoul-wise. Pennywise is a such a deliciously creepy invention, the pure evil in the guise of a child-friendly clown. The character development is another of King's great marks of greatness, and this is no exception even with a full seven heroes to flesh out. Dont' let anyone tell you to watch the movie instead, the movie is just a show for those who have read the book. You honestly dont' get anything from the movie like you would in the book so go here first. It's nice and long and keeps you at the edge of your seat many a time. A terrific book and a real classic. dont' just take it out of the library, make sure you buy it!
