Step Brothers (DVD, 2008, Rated, Single Disc Version)

Dale Doback (Reilly) and Brennan Huff (Will Ferrell) are more than just deadbeat losers. They sponge off their parents and are way past failure to launch men-children. After a much needed change in there lives, the single parents of these two hit it off and soon find themselves starting off as a happily married couple with a grown son a piece.

As soon as they get together, the two start fighting and hating one another. They soon learn how much they have in common with one another. Their love for numb-chucks, girlie magazines, ninjas, COPS, John Stamos, and the comforts of years of no responsibility.

This wild run frenzy is never ending. I'll just say that I've never seen anything quite so silly in my life. The Unrated version is absolutely gross, yet fantastically creative. This would make a grown man cry to see such foolishness.

I would like to give this film a better than average score, but after much thought, I can't it any more than a 3/5 for mediocrity and stupidity. It's worth a late night watch at least once just to make you aware of how ridiculous the movie producers are getting to come up with something new and different for people to watch. I'm sure this will run forever and a day on HBO, Cinemax, or Showtime.

the other review has to be a women, and she is right about it being a guy movie, but that is all she is right about. i nearly peed in my pants laughing at this movie. it is the same kind of humor as dumb and dumber...very juvenile and very rude humor. and it's great.

Best one yet! You either love em or hate em, but they pull it off everytime these 2 get together in front of a camera. Stupid, hilarious, slice of life vignette for the new millenium.

This movies is one of those non-stop laughing movies and at the same time its kinda touching. Will Ferrell and John Riley are too funny when they work together and there's a great amount of chemistry between them.

When you can recite a movie word for word you know its good! Funny Funny Funny! Anything with Will Ferrel is usually extremely funny. In this case with Will and John Reilly they go hand in hand with comedy mastership! I normally don't buy dvds, but I'm sure I will be watching this DVD over and over and over.

Boy from the reviews I read I expected this movie to be hilarious from start to finish... it wasn't! There's a few lame funny spots, but not many! I expected much more from these 2. They did great together in Taladega Nights. Jokes are lame! Will Ferrell's character thinks he's got the world's greatest singing voice (and he doesn't). And if any parent still has a 40 year old living at home with no job deserves the crap that they dish out! This is another movie I recommend renting only and not buying! SAVE YOUR MONEY!

I love this movie for their slapstick humor and the way they play two grown men who act like kids with no fear of looking stupid. I bought previously but my brother borrowed the dvd and hasnt given it back so i bought another one.

Offer said new dvd is was not new it was wrapped in some fake plastic and the dvd was scratched all over.... The dvd did work fine, and seller did offer to refund money and or exchange.

I've been disappointed in most of Will Ferrell's movies, but not all. I absolutely loved Elf, Talladega Nights had its moments but was just alright, and I was really disappointed in Semi-Pro. This is a perfect movie for Will. Step Brothers teams him with John C. Reilly, who worked with him previously in Talladega Nights. Talladega had its ups and downs, but Step Brothers keeps you laughing throughout. Farrell and Reilly are at their adolescent best playing two forty year olds who still live at home with their single parent. When the parents hook up and get married, Farrell and Reilly are then step brothers.

They start out as rivals, but as the movie goes along, they end up liking each other. They realize they're just like one another, a Mama's boy and a Daddy's boy. There are laughs at every turn of this movie (unlike Semi-Pro), and I definitely recommend Step Brothers. It's hilarious.

I really liked this movie. It was hilarious! This is a movie you can watch again and again and still laugh.

Have watched this movie at least 4 times. It is so funny. Would not recommen it for childred. The characters are unbelievablely funny.

With just picking up Step Brothers for the first time today, we have already watched it twice. If youre looking for a good comedy, Step Brothers will get you laughing! Based on two guys(39yo and 40) that still live at home with their parents, get together when their parents wed. Thats when all heck breaks loose! From the point the meet, until the very end, its non-stop hilarity!

Two grown men behaving like little kids, all the way through! Very comical!

Step Brothers will keep your attention from beginning to end, and you'll be sure to want to watch it again and again.

I bought this movie for my 15 year old nephew for Christmas. He said it's the funniest movie he's ever seen. The purchase was easy with quick, on time delivery!! I look forward to watching it with him sometime!!

I liked the characters in the movie. What I disliked about it was the language in it. Pretty raw. I bought it because my husband wanted to see it and it was a Christmas gift for him. I had to listen all year for what he said he wanted as he is hard to please. The previews made it look funny and we love comedies. We were however disappointed that it had such vulgar language in it. We are older so there were no kids around to hear it. I'll research before I buy again something that appears to be one thing.
