) A timeless tale of a mother's amazing love and unselfish sacrifice for her daughter's well being.
The acting was terrific especially by Barbara Stanwyck. Never realized the depth and ability that she had to portray this truly unique character.

) Barbara Stanwyck is just awesome. I loved this movie so much, I named my first born after her! There are several points in the movie where you really relate to each character. Lolly is so devoted to her mother - don't we all wish that our daughters will grow up to be so devoted?! I bought this for MY Stella for Christmas. She loves it, too...

) This one will make you bawl like a baby.... Saw this on television late one night and absolutely loved it. Beautiful acting and set design. Great story. A real tear jerker. Definitely worth seeing for any classic movie buff out there.

The cast is excellent, what a classic!!! I wasn't too crazy about the ending but Barbara Stanwyck carried it off exceptionally well. They don't make movies like this anymore!!
