Steiff Sortiment 1892 - 1943

A must-have if you collect or want to collect older Steiff pieces. Over 600 pages in both English and German of 99.9% of what was manufactured in the early years. Explains with full color photographs the buttons and tags that were used and within what time period. Clearly explains the serial and article numbers on the tag. Gives a brief history of the fabrics used in production and when. Most items in full color wih description in English and German. Good English/German index. The only problem I've had with this book is that some items may not be listed where you'd expect them to be, i.e., a monkey in "miscellaneous" when it should be (in my humble opinion) with the other monkeys. Hardback, current cost over $100 plus shipping. Available on eBay on occasion but use your search engine to find other website options as well. (They won't be any cheaper though.)
