Always Winners--and Always Will Be

No group in country music has ever--or will ever--duplicate the touch of magic and sheer class that the Statler Brothers displayed and shared for almost 40 years.
In this poignant video of their last concert, the "boys" cover many facets of their career, exchange banter with each other and their devoted audience, and give a glimpse into the unmatchable skills that fueled their illustrious career. They also take time to thank those who supported them--family, entertainment professionals, office staff, musicians, and their fans.
Though Statler fans were saddened at the idea of an era of joy ending with this retirement, there are two saving graces: This DVD and the Statlers' heart and soul warming music live on to bring continued pleasure and inspiration without the downward spiral often seen as acts grow older; in addition, tenor Jimmy Fortune, a few years younger than the original Brothers, has gone on to a solo career. Look for his web site and new releases if you want to hear that soaring tenor again.
And when you want to go back to the simpler, more innocent times of our American past and simply feel good again, this is a video you need to have in your library.
