State of Emergency (PlayStation 2, 2002)

I knew what I was getting myself into when I bought this game. Gamespot.com has an accurate review of it. This game is just total chaos and mayhem. No storytelling here folks. Lots of action going on at one time on the screen WITHOUT any frame-rate loss. I couldn't sit down for hours at a time with this one, but it is definitely good in small doses. Worth the purchase when it's at used prices. I wouldn't pay a total of anymore than $10 total(item+shipping) here on Ebay, because you can buy it new at the store for $15.. But that all depends on how you value your buck.

This game is OK. If you buy it at a low price it is worth the money. The graphics are good and there is no story line. It is your basic run around and break stuff game. If you are in to that kind of game it is worth buying ($10.00 - $15.00 tops)

This game is absolutly terrible! I had such high expectations for this game after the release of Grand Theft Auto on ps2. I was severely let down when I bought this game. I bought it for $50 dollars and two months later it was $9.99.

The only upside to this game is the premise (but terribly executed), and the graphics. The graphics are straight out of the original GTA, which is good. And the idea behind this game is good, you just basically riot and earn money. But that gets REALLY boring after about ten minuets. The controls are awful and sound is down-right bad. The replay value is absolute zero.


I have played this game for many hours waiting for it to get fun, it never did. Avoid it at all costs.

This game is nothing like Grand theft auto! It is still pretty fun it has to modes a chaos and a revolutionary mode. Chaos mode is diffently the better of the 2 you run around just causing chaos by smashing windows blowing upstores and cars taking down security forces. Revolutionary mode you complete missions that get alittle bit repitive at times. Ign.com rated this game a 8.3 out of 10 which is very good. Ign is know for there very reliable score system.

I decided to buy because i wanted my daughter to play something new. she loves a lot of violent video games, and maybe she would like to play this on for size. i liked the fact that it came in pretty quickly. It had a good reasonable prize, and i hope you people should by a game like this

I purchased this game for my adult son and he seems not to be able to stop playing it. Thanks for a great game at a reasonable price.

much like grand theft auto without the car like this game has good graphics cool missions plenty of action fast paced never gets oldthe characters are cool fun to play

I LIKE THE ACTION..LOVE THE FIST FIGHTS AND WEAPON OPTIONS..I DISLIKE THE THE GUY ON THE LOUD SPEAKER ALWAY COMENTING...BUT OVER ALL FUN BETTER WITH TWO PEOPLE....THANKS

If you dont have a lot of time for games this is for you. It has an arcade feel to it and you can save between missions. I like this game alot and would recommend it to someone that doesnt have too much time to play games.

I disliked it because of the graphics. Its more like a cartoon. Its really not the sellers fault either. Its the game designers fault

what can i say this game is from rock star games, it doesnt get any better then that, they make the coolest games all kinda sharing the same idea the characters all look kinda familiar and weapons , fighting ect if your into any other rock star games i see no reason why you wouldnt like this one, you basically get paid to beat up people within a certain amount of time running around in the streets and in a mall sound familiar ? i love the graphics and music and tone of the game thats why i own every rock star game known to man and at the same time my son thinks im the coolest mom ever, hope you enjoy the game :)
