How to Start a Faux Painting or Mural Business by Rebecca Pittman (2003, Paperback)

I've been in this business for 13 years and there was still plenty to get out of this book. Great buy!!!!

This book is a must-have for anyone looking to start up in the Mural or Faux Painting Business. Everywhere I researched for resources on the topic Rebecca Pittman and this book were mentioned as a reputable source for someone wanting to get into this line of work. The book is fantastic. As someone who has more than 20 years experience in the field she has much insight and discusses topics that I had not even thought of yet. She reviews how to bid jobs, getting the most out of your advertising dollars, banking and record keeping provides sample contracts, discusses setting up your portfolio. It has definitely been a very useful reference guide for me--being so concentrated on my artwork, I'm not the greatest business person, and this book has helped me to sure up those areas and to fill in the gaps. This book is *highly* recommended! You may also want to consider Painting Murals Step by Step by Charles Grund. Another very useful book on the topic.
