The Stars My Destination is Sci Fi at it's best!
I've been reading Sci Fi for nearly 50 years now and found this book to be one of those rare items that you just can't put down! It is fast paced and as fresh as just baked bread, even though it was written in the mid to late 50's.This book put's forth the idea that every person has unused potential in their brain, in this paticular story Bester has mankind discovering and using the ability to teleport themselves around the planet. However there are limits to how far and where you can teleport to. The main character becomes the first human being to teleport through space, thus the title. I found the book to be a quick read and really don't think thier are any flaws in the writing to complain about. It is a classic that has stood the test of time.
