Stargate SG-1 - Season 10 (DVD, 2009, 5-Disc Set)

This is a FABULOUS season, but it was so 'Sad to say Goodbye' to a wonderful era on television. If you are a Stargate SG1 fan this is a must have. I am just glad that Jackson, Teal'c, Carter, Cam, Vala & Jack are back and better than ever in the new MOVIES!

This is the end of the Stargate SG-1 Television show. The rummer is that there will be a movie but no more shows. This also has the great episodes when the entire earth is phase shifted, the earth gets a stealth ship, and FINALLY the Merline weapon is used. In order to do it any more justice I would have to tell about every episode.

Stargate SG:1 was one of those Cable shows that, if they were lucky, they would make 45 Episodes, about 2 seasons. So here I am writing a review about Season 10. Along the way, the series was cancelled, Although that decision was quickly overturned, The episode where the Pyramid Blows up a few seasons back was expected to be the last, but the fans brought it back. Season 10 is great, In fact, I cannot think of a bad episode of Stargate:SG-1. With Star-Trek, even though it was great, you knew even if this series based in the future came true, you would never see it. Stargate SG-1 Allows you to See how Ordinary people from our era of time deal with Problems, not people who are 250 years in the future. While you watch, it's much more realistic. I don't ever recall the word "Tachyon's" or Tri-Corder's. These were characters that were just like us. Season 10 is a must have, plus 1-9. However, I would NOT watch Series 10 before watching at the very least Season 1-3. They kept the show on for 10 years and still, we want more. In a way we are getting that. With the new show Stargate:ATLANTIS which includes characters from Stargate SG-1, such as Major Carter(she was a captain earlier on in the show. They are still putting out new Stargate Atlantis Episodes. If you've never watched Stargate SG-1, I envy you. I promise, go buy Seasons 1-10 of Stargate SG-1. I NEVER buy DVD's, but stargate is an exception. I'm the type of person that once I've seen a particular episode, I don't want to see it again, EXCEPT if it's a Stargate SG-1 episode, then I can watch it half a dozen times. You can't make a mistake with any of the stargate SG-1 Seasons, Stargate Atlantis is GREAT too, but, it's not quite on the same level with SG-1. Shows like SG-1 Only come out at a rate of 1 out of few thousand Shows. This lands easily in the 5X5 Rating area.

I've always been a fan of Stargate and hated to see it end. Season 10 had a lot of good shows and the last one being the best. Tho the cast may change and grow the show has always lived up to the standards they started with. I never understood why people would spend money on dvds for seasons of shows but i do now. Its nice to be able to sit down and watch your favorite show, one right after the other and go back to watch favorite ones over and over. The extras with all the Stargate dvds make the show all that more interseting and well worth the money ive spent to get them time after time.

An excellent series. Proud to say I own them all!! A fantastic choice for any sci-fi fan. Cast and crew do a wonderful job.

This is a must have for all SG-1 fans. The 10th season dvd set ties up the series beautifully while building anticipation for the movie. The extras are great. The commentaries will let you into the world behind the scenes and will help you understand all of the inside jokes. The series will be missed.

This last season was quite a bit more humerous, especially in the episode "Bad Guys." The team dynamic felt a lot stronger also and the kicked some Ori behind. I waited ages for this last season to come out in New Zealand and it was worth the wait. Now i hae all 10 seasons and can watch it from when SG1 first discovers the Goa'ould to the last episode at Stargate Command.

Not being able to watch the show on TV I choose to buy season 10. It was interesting and well done. I would have liked to have seen the series con't but I realize that all shows have to conclude at some point. My only disappointment was that Tapping and Anderson's characters didn't get together at the end. Otherwise, anyone that has liked the show would like season 10.

Stargate SG-1 is the best SCI-FI EVER!!!! I own all 10 Seasons~! After watching the first Season I had to have the rest!

Fantastic TV series. Sorry to see it has been cancelled. The cast was excellent. The ensemble worked very well together.

The last season of Stargate SG-1, alas it had to end. If you enjoy drama filled with archtypes, this show is for you. Watch and buy all 10 seasons and you will see why it is our favorite show.

Someone stole my entire Stargate SG-1 series including this volume and I was able after a year and a half of searching to restore my collection. the seller of this volume was quick to respond and the condition it was in when delivered by mail was GREAt.

This season is a must see but i am not sure if it is a must own not much happens throughout the season a lot of the stuff doesn't make sense like the Origin dudes are out taking over the universe and the plot goes back to things like the wormhole X thing i was kind of disapointed the whole 10th season really can be seen in the two movies but you might as well go on netflix or something like that and rent this season unless you are buying all the different seasons then you need to complete the set but do not do what i did and buy only one season go with all or just go rent them this is a great searies and i would deffinitly recomend it to any and all sifi goers

I love Stargate. Ever since I watched my first episide I "HAD" to have them all. and with this DVD my collection is now complete.

THE PRODUCT ITSELF WAS IN GOOD SHAPE. I DID NOT LIKE THE SEASON AS MUCH AS ANY OF THE OTHERS ALTHOUGH IT STARTED OUT WITH A STRONG STORY/PLOT LINE, IT IN GENERAL WAS HORRIBLE ABOUT AFTER THE 5TH EPISODE. LEFT A LOT OF UNANSWERED QUESTIONS.

Fun Show, A sexy Orisi, miss the Gou'uld though... They brought Ba'al back though... my favoret bad guy... I have to say the last episode is deffinently one of if not my favoret... This season completed my colection of all ten seasons... I don't like how as they moved alone in the searies that they moved away from what the show was origanaly made from, although this is true with every running show that has to grow or die until they have grown to much and to far away from the origanal idea's and plots and die anyway... the fate of every show... rality/game/talk show's not included
