Very fast shipping, extremely cheap, everything in mint condition as stated!! I am really in awe! The seller sent me the product very quickly and the price was really extraordinary. I know that this game is on the virtual console, but owning it is something completely different.

  Nice dose of Nostalgia
Review created: 12/10/07

From the instant I held this game in my hands once I again, I was taken back to 1990. The main instigator for buying this game was the nostalgia. In addtion, it's just a great game. Play reminds me of the Legend of Zelda series. Enjoyable storyline. Really though, it was about being a kid again. It's the reason why I bought an original NES to begin with. A simpler time and place, with simpler games to immerse myself in.

  Unique & Utterly Fun Classic
Review created: 10/31/06

A unique entry into the Nintendo canon.
Well balance mix of fighting and puzzle solving.
Ditsinct learning curve which makes the game continually harder as you get better... a challenge (yet not impossible) to the end.
Highly recommended.

Pros:
nice blend of action, adventure, and RPG

Cons:
can be cheap

I got Star Tropics several years ago back when I could still find places to find Nintendo games new. Now Star Tropics was a game hyped when it was first released but I didn t pick it up in till at least 6 years after. Anyways one of the things that were a buzz is that you couldn t rent the game and beat it, not because it was a big game but because Nintendo did something sneaky. In the box was a note from the character in the game, in the middle of the game you were told to dip it in water for a password you needed to continue. The number is 747 for anybody who is stumped on the code. Anyways.

Pros:
Yo-Yo!! Awesome storyline. Terrific gameplay. Great replay value. Period.

Cons:
Squarish movement, slight sluggish on the response.

The Plot You are 15 year old Michael Jones (you are referred to as Mike in the game). You hear that your Uncle, Steve Jones, has disappeared mysteriously. Because of this, you must leave your home in Seattle to go to C-Island, located in the Tropics. Once there, you get the story from the chief of Coralcola that he has been abducted by aliens for trying to solve a puzzle of a strange meteor shower that occurred a year ago. You are given your main weapon: the Island Yo-Yo, and are sent on your way to try and find your uncle. You must travel through series of tunnels throughout the Tropics...

  Yo_Yo Slinging: The First Chapter
Review created: 05/17/03
by: dagavolver -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Amazing adventure, tropical music, good looking bosses.

Cons:
Too short, the required instruction booklet needed to beat the game.

This is a game based about a sailboat, aliens, a crazy uncle, and a yo-yo slinging kid, how could it be bad? You play Mike, a kid who uncle gets captured by bright lights in the sky, which turns out to be robot building aliens. Throughout this game, you are given a small amount of weapons to use such as bats, baseballs, mirrors, ninja shoes and the infamous yo-yo of Doom. Ok its not that intimidating, but a cool idea by Nintendo. The real winner of this game is the game play and the music. The game never seems to get boring; besides, there s always a heart piece to be found, even though they..
