Tape is Soooo last Century

If you would have asked me 10 years ago what I thought of the Trilogy being on tape...my answer would have been totally different. I would have said that I absolutly loved it. That is why I own several versions of each episode to date. I especially like my version (boxed set) that had an interview with Lucas by Leonard Malta at the beginning of each movie. It was really nice to be able to "get into the head" of the creator of this wonderful genre.
Although the movies were mastered or at least remastered in a digital format...it still looses something in the translation to tape. That is why I now have the complet collection on DVD. So much more "information" can be put onto one disk. Not only the deleted scenes, making of's etc...but also just the digital (coding) information that makes the playback of an even higher quality. George et al have done a superior job in all media formats...and as technology advances, I am sure that they will continue to expand our viewing enjoyment of the Star Wars Trilogy (and beyond) experience.
