After completing work on the 3 original films in the "Star Wars" saga, creator George Lucas waited until the late 1990's before he decided to turn his attention once again to telling the adventures that happened a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. The three films in the much-anticipated and popular prequel trilogy tell about Anakin Skywalker, as he makes his transformation into the ultimate villain Darth Vader. "Episode I: The Phantom Menace" introduces young Anakin as a boy on Tatooine, who is determined by the Jedi to bring balance to the force. "Episode II: Attack Of The Clones" shows Anakin as a young man, learning the ways of the Jedi. "Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith" has Anakin lured to the dark side of the force, thus becoming a ruthless Sith apprentice. Lucas' remarkable imagination has helped to bring these fabulous stories to the big screen. He would always release each film once every 3 years during the month of May, opening the summer blockbuster movie season. This 6-disc DVD set features all 3 of these ground-breaking films together in a special boxed set, along with many bonus features. Anakin Skywalker is played by Jake Lloyd in Episode I and by Hayden Christensen in Episodes II and III; Ewan MacGregor plays Obi-Wan Kenobi; Natalie Portman plays Padme Amidala; Samuel L. Jackson plays Mace Windu; Ian McDiarmid plays Emperor Palpatine; Liam Neeson plays Qui-Gon Jinn; Christopher Lee plays Count Dooku; with Anthony Daniels as C-3PO and Frank Oz as Yoda. Highlighted by the rousing John Williams' scores, the "Star Wars Prequel Trilogy" DVD collection is one that every "Star Wars" fan will enjoy.
