I have always enjoyed behind the scene accounts of movies. This book takes us in an easy to follow read of the making of the phantom menace. It really hits a nerve with me that even the most serious of Star Wars fans cannot stand this particular episode of the Vader story. It was a very innocent time for the galaxy and could very well be paralleled to our very own 1950s.Then Episode 2 was like the war years of the late 1960s and episode 3 as how bad things have gotten now.Lucas created an escape from modern reality that was very enjoyable and set the stage for things to come.So this book really lets us explore how much was invested in creating such a simple yet beautiful escape from our failing reality.Maybe through "hokey religions"as han would have said even us nonjedi can figure out how to do our part in making the world one worth redeaming.Until then enjoy this book and stop trying to pick a part a movie that is surely innocent in a world oversaturated in graphic violence and meaningless sex.May the Force be With You.
