Star Wars: Sacrifice

The new book Star Wars Sacrifice is the Fith book in the Legacy of the Force series. This book is a hardcover book that was released May, 2007 by Del Rey books. It takes place 40 years after the Battle of Yavin.


*spoilers ahead*

Sacrifice is the continuation of a very interesting 9 book arch chronically the fall of Jacen Solo to the dark side of the force.

This book is split into three major story lines. The first story line deals with Jacen's fall to the dark side. He continues to fall and finally makes the sacrifice that he is professed to make. Jacen thought that he would have to sacrifice Ben Skywalker by killing him. However, he found that he sacrificed Ben's adoration and love by killing off his mother Mara Jade Skywalker. Mara had figured out what Jacen was turning into and tried to stop him. She almost made it but Jacen was strong enough and killed her.

Luke mistaken on who killed Mara then goes out and kills LUminya in an epic battle. It was rather cold blooded also.

The second major plotline is Boba Fett and the Mandalorian's. Fett call's the Mandalorians to return to their planet

. They discover another major vein of their undestructible metal that was thought to be extinct. Fett also receives a cure for his illness due to the work he is doing with Mandalor. A treaty with the verpine race and the creation of a highly efficient new MandelMotor's fighter create a new threat for the galaxy. Fett also recieved some interesting news about his long lost wife.

The final act revolves around Jacen seizing control of the Galactic Alliance through changed laws. Jacen Changes some laws and as a result has the ability to detain Chief Omas. He eventually does this and takes control of the government!

I am really into this book. I cannot wait to see what happens when the galaxy learns about Darth Caedus.

This was a Christmas gift for a family member. He finished the book in one night. After finishing the book he told me that it was one of the best books in this series and could not wait for the next book to come out.
