Star Wars by Kevin J. Anderson (1994, Audio Cassette)

This is the first book in the Jedi Academy series. I have reviewed the other books but this one is the first in the series. This follows after the Thrawn trilogy when there is relative peace in the galaxy at the beginning of the story. Luke is out searching for jedi candidates. He doesnt have a midichlorian detector or anything. He has found a different method using the force. Meanwhile of course the remaining Imperials out there this time led by the only female Admiral named Daala are causing trouble. Daala was Moff Tarkins second in command of a secret installation that creates super weapons. So once again our heroes are off to stop this threat. The series is great and this is a great first read. I would reccommend it.
