In the second installment of the Star Wars series, EPISODE II--ATTACK OF THE CLONES, Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) is now a teenage Jedi apprentice to Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor). Together they must protect Senator Padme Amidala (Natalie Portman) from a militant group of political activists that is trying to assassinate her. This group is led by the evil Count Dooku (Christopher Lee). Among other troubles, Anakin faces some hard choices as he begins to fall for Padme, knowing this love is forbidden by the Jedi knights' creed. In addition, Anakin begins to show his rebellious attraction to the dark side--which will eventually conquer him, when he becomes the future Darth Vader. The story is set 10 years after STAR WARS EPISODE I: THE PHANTOM MENACE, and there are appearances by some of PHANTOM's characters, including Jar Jar Binks. CLONES also brings back familiar faces from the original STAR WARS: the lovable droids R2D2 and C3PO, and Yoda, who plays a key role in this film. Lucas creates an impressive array of beautifully rendered alien planets and beings, sleek spaceships, and dazzling effects; he remains at the head of the class in terms of technical ability and visual imagination. The film's climactic final sequences show the magic with which CLONES' earns its place as part of the beloved STAR WARS series.

This movie is great. That statement stands on its own, but is far too simple to describe how good this movie is and how it truly lives up to the Star Wars standard of movie. Episode I was an alright movie but was a big let down for many fans. The build up was impossible to live up to, but when it was released, Episode I just took away from most fans Star Wars experience. Episode II came back with a punch. In fact, it was a combo that just kept hitting hard.
Anyone can appreciate an action film like this, as it was non-stop in this one. A Star Wars fan can appreciate this because it really shows us more of the Star Wars universe we know. Its good to see teh overall story develop and proceed. Episode I faltered in this a little, but both seemed to be clearer when Episode III came out. Episode II was an all out action film that made the Star Wars experience fun again.

Like so many other people, I am a Star Wars fan. I find it interesting to watch the evolution of the charaters, and the constant action keeps my blood racing. I would recommend this, and all of the other Star Wars movies, to anyone who is a fan of action/sci-fi movies.

Another great Star Wars movie. This movie is more of a story-builder for the 6-movie storyline. I love the action scenes and the movie does answer some questions for us about the characters we see in later movies. I give it a 4/5 rating because the 'relationship' scenes between Anakin and Padme seem to drag on. I know it is part of the overall story, so I just FF through those parts now. Definately one to have in your library.

What can I say...it's freakin' STAR WARS man!!!! Well I have one thing to say...YODA ROCKS! One of the best in the entire 6 episode saga. It's where Anakin and Padme get together, and Yoda...the little green dude with a walking stick....pretty much steals the movie.

Being a Star Wars collector for over 25 years, film was better than "Menace" was.
LESS JAR JAR. BUT, GEORGE DID NOT NEED TO BRING THE CHARACTER BACK AT ALL SINCE IT IS THE "MOST UNPOPULAR" CHARACTER OF THE 6 FILMS.

Attack of the Clones, while not my favorite Star Wars Episode, is still Excellent. It is a major improvement over The Phantom Menace but not quite as good as Revenge of the Sith, The Empire Strikes Back, or Return of the Jedi. Possibly the best part of Attack of the Clones is the depth in Character Development. It really gives you a sense of Star Wars and it's characters is all about.
