ITs the same As the other ones that came out in 2001 and 2002, but with some major upgrades to graphics and sound effects. PLus there are some extras like the making and behind the sceans. But the same movie...

This classic film is timeless and fun no matter how many times you've seen it...The cast and story are exciting and fresh even if you've seen the film over 100 times, as I have...The is a Must DVD for anyones collection!!!

I have this movie on VHS and all other episodes on DVD, so you might say I upgraded. Ordered the movie on line ,paid by Pay Pal and recived the movie in good order. All is well in my world.

seller forgot to put address and package and took twice as long to be delivered and did not communicate with me about it until I had asked what was going on.

It was an awesome movie. Great explination of the beginning of the Jedi vs Sith saga. If you love the original Star Wars, you'll enjoy seeing Episode 1 and capturing all of the little details that make the movies that follow it so great!

I enjoy the star war series, needed this episode to complete my collection, I hope to purchase again from this seller.

This is an awesome movie. I grew up watching Star Wars as a young boy and this most recent addition to the series does not disappoint.

I though that it might be a bit much for my 7 year old to grasp since he has Asperger's Syndrome, but he loved it and can’t get enough of it.

He has made me buy all the Episodes and watches them all.

It’s truly wonderful to be able to connect with my son on a topic that we both love.

This DVD will be a joy for parents and children to share.

Be careful if you use this seller. I waited a month through messages that claimed an item was sent (from Canada to the US), and that it must be "held up in customs" - it was a DVD. THe seller could never produce a tracking number to prove shipment, and proved extremely inept at helping resolve the issue. I was finally forced to get my money back, so be advised to use a guaranteed payment method (like PayPal - kudos to PayPal for thier guarantee). Perhaps the seller does not do this often, BUT, be advised to keep up with your purchase status and shipping status - you may have to resort to getting your money back. If so, do it before your window of opportunity closes, as the seller may be awaiting this deadline.

copy of the dvd I was sent was loose in the case with broken prongs holding in the disk. It was severely scratched and the disc 2 was not attached to the case. I haterd it should have boughten it new

The Phantom Menace is hands down the worst of the six Star Wars movies. It often seems that Lucas wanted to show what could be done with CGI, not make a good movie. Too much of Jar Jar Binks, the underwater city, and traveling through a planet.
That said, it is still enjoyable and fun! Not to mention, that kids love it. The pod race scene is great and the movie sets the stage for the rest of the films.

This is the first film in the Second Trilogy or Beginning of the Star Wars Saga. I bought this Movie to complete my Widescreen DVD collection of the films. Excellent movie, Fantastic Graphics and State of the Art (for its time) CG animations.

Although this movie was intended to begin the Saga that is Star Wars it infact took away from the "PG-13" rating and pushed it toward the "PG" Rating in my opinion. With the introduction of the infamous and clumsy Jar Jar Binks, this movie was aimed more toward the Child Audience rather than the aging teens who saw the beginning of the George Lucas Masterpiece in the 70's.

All in all i would recommend this movie to anyone, Jar Jar Binks with his downplay of Mature themes such as Violence, Killing, Murder, and Oppression that were highly prevalent in the first or Last films, was Majorly out weighed by the Menace of the Sith, as well as the brilliant Pod Racing scenes.

A great addition to have for any true Star Wars Fan.

I saw this movie in theatres back when it first came out and I thought it was a pretty cool movie, but I didn't buy this movie for myself, I bought it as a Christmas present for my girlfriends dad

This movie is a must see for all scifi fans, as well as an exceptional addition to the star wars trilogy.

I love all the Star Wars movies, but for years just never got around to adding this one to my collection. Although not quite as good as episodes II and III, I really enjoyed this one when it first came out in the theaters. I bought it, because I got a really good deal on it through Ebay.

The information was accurate and the delivery was speedy. When I got the product, it was in great condition!

First generation Star War fans often cry about Episode I not meeting their expectations...however, this is a family movie and the new generation of kids has thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It is designed to appeal to the entire family, and with this in mind I can live with the likes of Jar-Jar Binks! Kids need some funny parts after intense podraces, space battles and frightening Sith! Worth watching and worth keeping- just don't try to compare to the original trilogy. The Cons: This movie could have used some more character development and smarter dialogue. Even so- it is a great story. Obviously a must for any Star Wars fan. Darth Maul gives an epic lightsaber duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gonn Jinn. Enjoy!
