Star Wars: Episode I: Racer (Nintendo 64, 1999)

Well what can I say it is podracing and it gives you the chance to race on several different planets using different podracers. The game is very entertaining if you like racing games but if your more of a Star Wars fan it gets dull after a while because you know this has very little to do with the basic plot. I would not pay too much for this game being it is a n-64 game . If you can find it for under 3.00 it would be worth it though.

Star Wars Episode 1 Racer is a great little racing game created in the Star Wars universe. You take control of one of the many pod racers that are seen in Episode 1.

You get to race in over twenty locations as you try to win the race to get credits, then you can upgrade your pod!

I found this game was fun, but a bit dizzying at times. When you really get your pod moving you find that things get a bit blurry and hard to control.

4/5 but it does have that Star Wars feel to it!

As the title states this is a game based on the star wars: episode 1 movie, essentially on the part from the pod racing.
During gameplay, each contestant drives a vehicle made of a small cockpit that's literally dragged behind two or more huge starship engines. The racer goes about 600 MPH and they got just a few feet of the ground. In the movie there's just one race on the planet Tatooine, but in the game you have seven additional planets and more than twenty tracks in all to race, as well as more than twenty pilots besides Anakin Skywalker to race as.
I really recommend this game for any Star Wars fan or anyone who just wants to spend a good time playing.

Star Wars: Episode I: Racer is probably one of the best Star Wars games to be inspired by the prequels, and one of the most fun racing games for the N64. The game is simple to learn but challenging to master, yet it's forgiving enough for newbies to still have fun.

The tracks are all different and interesting, and there are some great "Oh, cool!" moments from time to time. There's a good selection of characters, you can customize your pod with lots of upgrades, and there's some good stuff to unlock.

The only real drawback is that Watto WILL NOT stop talking when you're buying equipment, and that gets annoying really fast. Of course, it's easy enough to mute the volume and get rid of that problem altogether.

Seriously, if that's the only real drawback, then there's no reason not to try this game if you're at all a fan of racers and/or Star Wars.

Honestly, I purchased this game because of the "Star Wars" label and Star Wars games are usually sweet. Now that I own it I can tell you this is definetly one of the best racing and racing gameplay titles for the N64. Racers has several characters to choose from, upgrades, loads of tracks, and more that i wont say cuz i dont want to spoil the fun for you. Racers has great graphics too, considering its an N64 title. Anakin Skywalker is in this title but its not like your gonna pick him right? Heres how I see it: Fast and amazing graphics, excellent gameplay, lots of characters, and dude, its STAR WARS!

this is an excellent star wars racing game that has multi-player capabilities. this game offers the classic racing feature with new star wars environment and vehicles.

I love this game. I had gotten it beacuse I had played this game at a friends house many years ago, and loved it. If you dont like Star Wars things thats ok, the tracks and races you will still love. You can choose the character to fly your vehicle and which race you want to compete it. There are many of races to choose from, many. Buy this product!

Although it's kinda cool that this is a Star Wars themed racing game, it is still overall an average racing game with mediocre tracks and graphics.

By far my favorite N64 game. It's awesome. The graphics are really good and the gameplay is fast. Though I never play the Anakin character, oddly enough.

What more can I say about a Star Wars game that hasn't been said in either the good or bad? I personally thought the game to be challenging once I got used to the gameplay and had alot of good times "racing all around the galaxy" at pod-racer track after pod-racer track. Mastering the Boonta Eve race was a snap, but some of the other tracks proved to be a menace (not punning the "Phantom Menace" episode really) but the race track on Malestaire proved a challenge (cannot recall the track name).

Star Wars Episode 1 Pod Racer is steeped in heavy space-age fun from a galaxy far, far away and rates a 4 out of 5 for being a typical racing game, but a load of fun and was ahead of its time in graphics and playability for the year it was released (1997).

This is a great game it is a challengeing game. The game controls are very easy to use. If you like a high speed racing game I would recommend this to anyone.

I originally bought a Nintendo 64 for my four grandsons to play. I told them I was going on e-bay to buy some games for the Nintendo 64 and asked what would you like for games? I let them see all the games avaiable and they decided on the Star Wars Racer. It came in a very short time frame and they played it as soon as they came over to my house. They rated it #1 on their list of games.

This game is in awesome condition. This seller is honest and a straight forward person. The game doesn't have any damage on it.

Summary: This game is quite good for the time it was made. I play it a lot.
Lots of programming packed into it.

Pros: Lots of characters to choose from+. Lots of races to do. Keeps you busy.
Cons: Don't expect 21st century standards in graphics.
