Star Wars Demolition (PlayStation, 2000)

This game uses Star Wars unvierse but really has nothing to do with the plot. You have demolition derbies where you are trying to win money at different venues. There are power up on the battle field and many different vehicle to choose from. The graphics are great and the game runs smoothly but just don't pay alot for the game.

Star Wars Demolition is a great single or dual player game. With great graphics and gameplay grounded in the Star Wars universe, it is a thoroughly enjoyable and challenging game. The game is suitable for teens and still interesting and more than enjoyable for the Star Wars geek hiding in many of us 30-40 somethings. There are multiple levels and modes of gameplay. My favorite is working in team mode to beat up on the Republic baddies with another player. There are also opportunities to pilot all the different classic crafts from the Star Wars franchise, ranging from Land Speeders to Battle Tanks, and even a option to pilot a jet pack and disintegrator pistol ala Bobba Fette. The range of vehicles and weapons keep you constantly interested and motivated to achieve the next level and gain the keys to the next unique vehicle. Overall a great game for teens, and even a better guilty pleasure for the inner geek in all of us young professionals. This is a game that was originally created for use with Playstation 1... but don't let it's age fool you. It still has wonderful graphics and music combined with challenging and engaging game play. Good, mindless play. Not too challenging, but lots of fun. As with most games, you can choose your level of difficulty. This will determine the character of opponent you fight. You can choose who you are out of five main characters. Once you've defeated more opponents, you'll have more choices. Overall, a decent, entertaining game.
