Star Wars - Clone Wars: Vol. 1 (DVD, 2005)

If you kids are into Star Wars and clone troopers then this movie is for them. You can set them down and there eyes are glued to the TV the hole time. as Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu and Clone Troopers try to save the republic. I even liked the movie. A+ for star wars fans young and old. BUY IT!

Animation is good, fills in the story between Episode 2 & 3. Absolutely necessary for any Star Wars fan.

For some Star Wars fans the concept of a cartoon maybe a little hard to get used to, however, take it for what it is...a cheaper (and different) way to continue the Star Wars saga. There is tons of action, and subtle additions to the base story that takes place between theatrical releases. The animation isn't bad, a little wierd at times, but all in all very watchable for both young and old Star Wars fans.

This video is a great addition to the film sets of star wars. It helps to fill in the gap made in the films about the clone wars and the many events that happened during that time.

A must have for all star wars fans! loved it!! Saw all the episodes every time it was debuted and shown on cartoon network.

This movie completley pulls off the feel of the star wars universe while really getting into the meat of the clone wars and the battles a must have for any fan

My 8 year old son and I are huge Star Wars fans. The Clone Wars animated series is the perfect bridge between Attack of The Clones & Revenge of The Sith.
Action packed from start to finish. This animated tale plays from beginning to end like a movie, or you can choose to watch it episode to episode in 12 minute stories. I preferred the movie.
This is also visually stunning animation mixed with a great soundtrack. I give it 3.5 out of 4 stars.

Excellent for Star Wars who enjoy varity and uniquesnes in animation styles. A liitle dark in nature but fills in gaps of Clone Wars.

As I was watching this Star Wars Clone Wars the Anime Series I kept SCREAMING INTO THE TV SCREEN shouting...WHY WASN'T THIS EPISODE II!?!? Why weren't these the NEW MOVIES!? This should have been the live action movie!

I do not exaggerate in any way when I say that these episodes are BETTER THAN ALL OF THE NEW STAR WARS MOVIES...This is NOTHING BUT FIGHTING from beginning to End! Lightsaber and Space Battles that are unbelievable...I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY WISH GEORGE LUCAS RELEASED THIS IN THE MOVIE THEATRES IN 2002 INSTEAD of that piece of crap Attack of the Clones that he did.

There is a lot of reference to Japanese Anime in this film...even though it's a SO CALLED "CARTOON" it's FAR FAR AWAY FROM IT! This Movie plays out like a KUNG FU FILM rather than a Star Wars film.

Another reason why this was so good was because this was done by Gendy Tarkotovsky...in other words...a fellow star wars fan. Let us the fans make these movies from now on and Lucas can still make money off of the selling the toys since that's all he wants to do right now. Again this combines TWO OF MY FAVORITE THINGS...STAR WARS AND JAPANESE ANIME!!!

If you were disapointed by the new Star Wars films...watch this one because it makes sense of the Clone Wars!

first of all i am a huge star wars fan so i loved 'clone wars' and that was an excellent prequel to episode 3.

This series of mini episodes is an awsome bridge between the second and third episodes of the star wars saga. Without this dvd i would be completly lost as to what happened between and leading up to the movies. This dvd is perfect for star wars fans and just anyone who is looking for a better understanding of the movies.

Very good anime of the great Star Wars great saga. It takes place between Episodes 2 and 3. It stay true to most of the Star Wars facts.

The original Clone Wars was a miniseries of short, five minute long animations aired on the Cartoon Network during commercial breaks. They came out before Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and introduced General Grievous.

Preferred by many to the new CGI series, the original animations were short, action packed, and filled with drama. Placed seamlessly together on the DVD, it's like watching a Star Wars movie, albiet animated.

I personally find them better than all three of the prequel movies, even Episode III. They did everything better than the movies--the jedi, the sith, the droids, Grievous, and even the romance had more effect and was more entertaining. These short animations made me extremely hyped about the new Clone Wars movie and television series, but in the end I still prefer the old ones.

Clearly this set the stage and design for the wonderful new CGI Star Wars The Clone Wars series.

Wonderful renditions of all characters, vehicles, cities and locations.

Very Highly recommended to all Star Wars Fans!!! If you do not have Volume 1 and 2, they are must haves at a reasonable price.

I bought this movie because we lost our last copy of it. my 7 year old is a star wars fan, he enjoys the new clone wars but this he likes as well.
This does not compare to the graphics of the newer clone wars series and movie, however, it is excellent for what it is.

My husband like it.He wants to watch it with my son and collect all the volumes out there. It is a good animated story that ties into star wars well.
