Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron (PlayStation Portable, 2007)

This game adds many new features to Battlefront 2 including new worlds, new characters, and the online feature. I think it is much better than Battlefront 2 and is overall a great addition to the series.

I played the PS2 version before, but the PSP are simply terrific. I played it at school, on the bus, at work, at home wherever I go. This is great Game!!!

Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade squadron is a 1st person shooter and the 3rd installment in the Star Wars Battlefront series. New features in the game include: character customizations, new places, new weapons, new heroes,new ways of playing in multiplayer and instant action,extra features and bonuses. In my honest opinion this game is the best game I have played on the psp (playstation portable). I decided to buy this game after playing the previous Star Wars Battlefronts, this game was a lot of fun for me and i know i will be for you to.

omg this is the best star wars battlefront possibly the best star wars game so far online is amazing single player story and conquest are to die for. If there where ever any game i would request for the psp is this game renegade squadron has amazing graphics. its both battlefront 1 and 2.

Overall this is a great game for the PSP that utilizes most of the power the PSP can offer. I had low expectations for this game and was pleasantly surprised to find that it offered more than I had expected. There is a mode called conquest which is a nice game to play while you’re on the road or flight. It adds a strategy aspect to the shooter based game.

However, I was unimpressed with the multiplayer, as every game I joined felt choppy and that made it difficult to get into the game. Playing with friends using Adhoc was extremely fun and was definitely a worth while game to play of road trips.

Sound:9/10 If you’re a Star Wars fan this is great
Multiplayer: 7/10 The only reason I give this a 7 is the online play seems choppy
Overall Playability: 9/10 Great controls mixed with great game play.

Overall score 9/10 Highly recommended for PSP owners.

Also with this game being bundled with some PSP’s you can usually find this game for under 20 dollars.

GOOD:
- 23 maps, including 9 maps never seen before in the battlefront series (many of the old maps have been remade for the PSP also).
- customization and personalization, allowing the player to chose their own weapons, abilities, and appearances for the Empire, Rebellion, Republic, & CIS.
- a decent campaign with a nice story and cool cutscenes.
- new galactic conquest with more strategical elements
- great online multiplayer for 16 players
- good framerate
- asteroid bases in space battles are awesome
- new ships + jedis/sith in space battles
- fast loading times

BAD:
- controls are awkward
- graphics aren't that great
- AI is too easy
- the campaign is short

It's a pretty good Battlefront game overall and it's great for on-the-go gaming.

it is very good game and better than other star wars game. i liked to play with world players online.

My 11 yr old son had the game in the past, and needed a replacement so I bought it for his birthday.
He says it's fun to play online with this game and the PSP, and this game is really customizeable (you can customize characters, weapons, and abilities).
He would rate this game a 9.5 out of 10!!
The .5 deduction is because there aren't as many character bodies as he would like (only 3 versions for each team).

Great game very fun keeps you on your toes its a game that you can play over and over and still have fun. online play is just spectacular havint played a game for a PSP like this one of the best games in my opinion

My two boys (ages 11 and 7) specifically requested this game, as one of their friends had it. Since we received it, it has gotten alot of play! Both boys love playing it, and they have to take turns because neither one wants to give it up!! Highly recommend this for boys this age.

If you love star wars games, ecpecially Battlefront 1 & 2, you will love this follow up game as Han Solo takes you through another galactic war experience. Filled with action, lots of characters and worlds, this game is excellent. High recommend for the star wars fan. Play it today!!!

Fun game, great graphics, tons of weapons and many characters...a must have for Star Wars fans, or anyone who likes shooters on the PSP

I think it is an excellent game. It is in perfect condition, Storyline and online are excellent. Absolutely Wonderful.

If you like the other Star Wars video games for psp (Battlefront 2, etc) this game will definately meet your expectations! The gameplay is equally good and I found it really enjoyable.
The only negative though (at least for me) is that I end up playing it so much cause I love the game and then in a week or 2 im already done with it! But other than that, buy this game! you will like it!

my son loves this game. he has all the starwars battlefront games but says that this one is hands down his favorite. excellent graphics and storyline.

all the graphics and story of battlefront but lacking in controls. love the point spending, customization is a great idea

good game with great graphics. thought it would play like the ps2 version, but theres alot more options that will take time to learn. Overall compared to the ps2 version I give it a A- due to the ease of learning this game.....
