Star Trek: The Next Generation - Season 1 (DVD, 2002, 7-Disc Set, Sensormatic)

I hadn't seen the earlier seasons of the show until i recently purchased it. I find the overall look and feel of the show to be above and beyond what i expected..also as a bonus the behind the scenes information is extreamly provocotive.

I love Star Trek The Next Generation. Had to get the first season on DVD. You get to see where they all begin their journeys with the Enterprise and how they meet each other. You also get introduced to a character that will be found in many episodes and many seasons to come, Q.

A great series. First season is not the best, but definitely some good episodes. It sets the story for the rest of the series.

This is the best sci-fi series ever, equal to the original Star Trek. Owning the discs lets me, and friends, watch episodes whenever I want to. My girl enjoys ST:TNG as much as I do.

This summer, my whole family seemed to get hooked on Next Gen. We enjoyed it so much that it became our nightly time together and that's saying alot considering all my kids are grown and still at home; they move every thing over so we can have family time to watch these installments of Star Trek. It's a great series - well written and engaging. So it only made sense to purchace season one when Father's Day arrived. My husband loved the gift and as before, we continue to have our family time around our nightly Next Gen viewing. Enjoy!

I never received the Star Trek item. I am disappointed, want a refund, but most of all the promised Christmas present won't be there.

I have always loved Star Trek The Next Generation. It is by far the best of any of the Star Trek's. Adding this to my home DVD collection was a great idea since I will be able to enjoy it for years to come. I advise anyone who is a Science fiction fan or a fan of star trek to buy this wonderful set of 7 seasons of exploring that which is not yet known :P.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas. I was very disappoint when it came.
It is an illegal copy from Asia, and the last 15 minutes of each episode is missing.
Had I known this before actually bidding on the item, I never would have done it.

I bought this as a birthday present for my husband, who is a huge Star Trek fan. It also helped me get into the series itself by showing how everything comes together (I had never seen Season 1 before). The packaging is very attractive, and the DVD set itself is very high-quality. We really enjoy watching this together!

This set was great! I had forgotten some of the episodes and it is wonderful to now own these so I can watch whatever I want, when I choose. It was truly great to look back at Riker, Troi, Data, and all the others in the first season and to be able to compare them then with how they developed during the course of the show and the movies.

The service getting my DVD set was above average and I received them before I expected.

So, I've loved Star Trek TNG since I was a kid, we used to watch it as a family whenever it would air. I bought this for my mom this year for Mother's day and she really loves it. As far as the season, I think that this is probably TNG's worst season, but it's also the first. The cast is a little weak and shaky at times, but it all comes down (I think) to most of them getting used to their roles and how to really play Star Trek characters. A lot of different sales people tried to get me to buy different seasons since "the first season is the worst" but I wanted to start a collection from the beginning, not the middle. I would say that this is most definately a requirement for the TNG fan, but go ahead and skip it for Season 4 or 5 if you just want to have a season or two of Star Trek. Hey, maybe even go for the Fan's Choice Star Trek series, I've heard good things about those.

I am a fan of the whole Star Trek The Next Generation Series so when I decided to begin my collection, I wanted to start from the beginning. Although I had not seen much of Season 1, I found that I enjoyed the episodes and variety of plot lines very much. The behind the scenes bonus features were well done and it was interesting to see the cast out of 'uniform' and makeup. I would recommend this box set to any Trekkie looking to add to or start a DVD collection.

Good quality - and not pirated in Hong Kong. I got a mess of Star Trek stuff from e-bay, from different sellers, that WAS pirated. Good service.

I think Star Trek, The Next Generation is one of the very best series ever made for TV, but this is the worst of the 7 seasons.

While this isn't the strongest season TNG has to offer, it's an excellent beginning with some classic episodes (Encounter at Farpoint, Datalore, Symbiosis, others) for you to enjoy. Get this at $40 or less and it's a steal.

Loved the TV show. Glad I could get a great deal on it on Ebay. The stories were mostly great. Lots of forward thinking, thinking out of the box. Pretty cool stuff. Bringing new friends into becoming Trekkies now.

I got this DVD as a gift for my brother's birthday, it arrived fast and in excellent condition. The price was also great, it was cheaper than wal-mart. This is the original release of the DVD which means that cardboard case is made out of hard cardboard and not the release of the DVD set which is made out of thin cardboard like what wal-mart has now.

The first season of The Next Generation was an impact on the Star Trek World. Granted the classic show was the first, and a sci-fi legend. This show came from a different angle and all together made other eras of Star Trek shows possible! Buy all the seasons of Star Trek The Next Generation and be warped away to new worlds and adventures!

I have always liked Star Trek: The Next Generation. I have watched all the episodes and have always wanted the shows on DVD. I had taped them off the TV oon their orginial air dates. DVD's take up less space than VHS Cassette.
Big Star Trek Series fan. I watched all the different series. They all have there good points but Next Generation is first, Star Trek Capt Kirk is next as far Deep Space Nine and Voyager I really can't say which I like more than the other. I am simply a Trek nut.

I was never really a fan of the original Star Trek series (I liked the movies) and it wasn't until the early 90's before I started watching TNG. I think I was instantly hooked! The story lines, the characters, everything about TNG just seemed to click.

Over the years after the series was canceled, I would find myself catching a re-run here and there and all time would stop while it showed! I think TNG remains to this day the only TV series I would watch religiously.

Season 1. takes you back to the roots of it all. Many great episodes to be had. One of my favorites would have to be "Skin of Evil", the episode where Natasha Yar gets killed (yea, yea, I was never much a fan of Yar. I always preferred Worf lol). There are also a few episodes involving my favorite TNG villain; The Q (the very first TNG episode introduces Q).

All in all, Season 1. has been a great experience and a great buy! A must have for any TNG fans out there. Buy it today...you won't regret it!

It is good to see the second and next best installment of the Star Trek, I grew up watching reruns of the Original and watched the TNG when I was very young all the way until they decided to call it quits after seven years; I'd have to say that season one may have not always been the best, but it was a start to becoming the most loved Star Trek. Of the episodes on these disk, the Big Good Bye was one of my faves, next to the introduction of Lore Data's evil brother. All in all, it is still a cool thing to watch all the episodes from the beginning.
