Star Trek - Fan Collective: Borg (DVD, 2006, 4-Disc Set)

This is a chronological collection of every key Borg story throughout the various Star Trek series. It's fun to watch, without a doubt, but the producers were very skimpy on the extras. There's audio commentary on the Enterprise episode & text commentary on three of the two-parters. That's all Paramount could muster up? Pretty lame, in my opinion.

Being an old time Star Trek fan, I was thrilled to see a set that had some of my favorite episodes of the Borg. This is a way to collect specific episodes without having to purchase entire seasons of each series. I hope in the future they will have more theme collections like this one.

The Q series is a bit weak for my tastes and the time travel one I am still debating on.

Absolutely love this set. Episodes like "I Borg" that I haven't seen in many years and thought I hated becoame new again. Loved the Voyager "Endgame" and Next Generation's "Best of Both Worlds" episode. Both a lot better than movies that I have money to see at the movies. Buy this collection and the "Time Travel" collection, also a fun set to watch.

This is a blast, scary as borg is supposed to be, and left me wishing I hadn't already seen the first contact movie. Some were definitely better than others, but a great collective!

This collection of episodes on DVD are for the afficiando of the Star Trek series. To those not familiar with the story lines or the crews, the theme and tone of the DVD might seem a bit disjointed or hard to follow. However for the true Trekkie, this collection is a wonderful compilation of the ultimate enemy, the Borg, over the years of our adventures in the final frontier.

It was a great purchase for the price. The "collective" would retail at BestBuy for $35-$40, but I found it new on eBay for $20!! It has all the great Borg episodes, and I didn't have to buy an entire season to get them, or in this case 7 seasons of the different shows. If you want to see the collective get smacked around, then this is the collection for you. Resistance is definitely not futile.

This 4 disk set with the best "Borg" episodes is without a doubt great. I never watched Star Trek Voyager when on TV and that was a mistake, these shows are outstanding. I cannot say enough good about this DVD set, you will not be sorry you bought it. To top it off you can find a copy very cheap on ebay.

As to Star Trek: Fan Collective—Borg: if you are a casual fan of the show, and you don't want to shell out for full series sets, this is probably the one Star Trek box worth adding to your collection. There is plenty of action, and most of these episodes are surprisingly entertaining. Looking ahead at the upcoming "Fan Collective" releases though, I have some serious reservations about how much recycling Paramount plans to do among these boxed sets. If this is really for the fans, how much patience does Paramount think the fans have with paying for "Endgame" again in the "Time Travel" collection?

Having problems with the dvd playing disk 1 the rest are ok. I bought it to see disk 1. I had it cleaned 3 times and still not working. I am bidding on another one to see disk 1.

This is a good deal for the sci-fi fan. The series, to me, with the most favorable episodes with the most formidable opponent. Excellennt scenes for the final frontier.

Finally I can sit down and watch the complete history of the Borg. This is a great collection, while I wished the episode "One" was on it, I love this collection.

I am a huge fan of Star Trek and an even bigger fan of the best thing to ever come out of the Star Trek Universe; The Borg. This DVD Set is a MUST HAVE for any fan of The Borg. The episodes chosen for this collection were certainly the best ones from each series; TNG, VOY, ENT. If you are thinking of passing on this set for your collection: RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!

This is a fantastic collection of Borg episodes. My girlfriend and I have thoroughly enjoyed this collection together and I highly recommend it.

i'm not a fan of these types of movies so i never order them but for the people i know that do like these types of movies say star trek borge is great and they love it very much. when a friend of mine said he saw this movie at another friends house and was so impressed that he wanted it. after hearing this between a conversation with my husband i knew right then this was a perfect birthday gift for him. i ordered the dvd and gave it to him from my husband and myself and he said out of all the presents he got this was the best. my husband and i was so glad this dvd was on ebay at a reasonable price that we will be ordering more presents like this in the future.

any star trek fan would like this collection with out stupid commercials or other problems . dvd collection was worth the price and wait but, don`t just take my word for it ....check it out .

I received the Star Trek Fan Collective Borg episodes as a Birthday gift last week. All I can say is wow! The great thing about this collection is that you don't have to go through all the different sets of series to find one single favorite Borg episode. The Commentaries are great and I love how they are chronologically arranged. I am a major Star Trek fan and even more of a Borg fan, so it is very special for me to be able to pop in the Fan Collective when I want to watch it. There are four more collectives that fans have chosen, Q, Klingon..... Birthdays, Christmas......

If you're like me and love the Borg episodes on Star Trek, then you must buy this! It is the definitive collection of Borg episodes (including a couple I had never seen!). My only complaint is that it doesn't have any special features.

I love the Borg stories the best of all the Star Trek aliens.
Especially since it goes through all the different versions
of Star Trek - and the change of Seven of Nine back to being
human, but still with the Borg traits of wanting perfection and
the doctor helping her to learn human traits. Jeri Ryan was
superb - along with her flat affect blossoming into a person
with a sense of humor, but still with the Borg intelligence.
I also love the Klingon stories and will try and purchase that
next "Live Long and Prosper"
