In an alien galaxy, players must control their spaceship as a captain exploring the farthest reaches of space. This is the premise behind STAR FURY the game by Malfador Machinations and Shrapnel Games for the PC. STAR FURY is a science-fiction role-playing game that allows the character to develop based on players� choices. As the ship�s captain, players must learn to navigate within the deepest corners of space in search of new and unexplored regions and even fame and fortune. Like many role-playing games, the survival and prosperity of the player�s character depends on how the player maintains and even upgrades their ship with the available technology. Another way that players can protect themselves is to join up with a large star fleet operation in order to provide their small ship with some level of protection. Players can also choose whether or not they want to take the route of honesty and become a trader or that of wealth and become a pirate. Most of the character�s development comes with the interaction with the other players in this huge multiplayer format. Since the game is online, it allows players from all walks of life and all ages to engage in the game, making the player�s own personality show up through their character. STAR FURY allows players to create and personalize their character, with nothing to inhibit them other than the reaches of their imagination. This combination of interaction and engaging game play makes STAR FURY refreshingly addictive.
