Star Fox 64 (Nintendo 64, 1997)

In Star Fox 64, you play the role of Fox McCloud, and you must fight your way through this exciting space shooter in order to stop the evil Andross from ruling the galaxy. This is the 2nd N64 title that Shigeru Miyamoto worked on, the first being Super Mario 64. Just about any game Miyamoto is involved with has become an instant success, and this is no exception. Star Fox 64 is the sequel to Star Fox, which is a title on the SNES. You fight your way through many different stages, and in most stages, you must fight a boss at the end to complete the stage. With pristine graphics, superb gameplay, and a magnificent story, Star Fox 64 has earned its title as one of the most successful titles on the N64. Definitely pick up a copy if you have a Nintendo 64.

Starfox 64 has a relatively bland single player campaign that gets very old ofter the first two missions. The only high point of this game is the multiplayer that can be a VERY good time when 4 players are connected. Overall, buy this game for the multiplayer experience.

I loved this game years ago when I first played, however, I always had to play at a friends house as I did not own an N64 myself. I had completely forgotten about it until I saw it on eBay. The graphics were wonderful back then, and once you get the controls straight, it's a wonderful, challenging game. It isn't difficult to kill the bosses at the end of each stage and if you can't figure it out, members of your 'team' will tell you clues on how to kill them. Overall, it's a wonderfull game with interesting characters. A favorite for many who grew up playing the 64.

Fox is back in this adventure for the N64. And it's all flying baby. Well mostly flying. There are a few submarine levels. That's pretty much flying too though. The game is short for real though. You can play through it in just one sitting of a few hours if even. Multiplayer is not the best but it can be fun with a few people. Honestly, this is one of your only choices for flying games on the N64 and it is at the top of a short list. Controls are solid and barrel rolls are a ton of fun and a necessary skill to possess to keep from dying so much. Experience space flight like never before on a 64-bit system. Fly into battle with classic characters and defeat the evil Andross (dude is huge). Pick this up if you like flying games or if you're a Star Fox fan. Great character game for the N64. 4/5

StarFox 64 was always a great game, and still is to anyone who enjoys fast-paced shoot-em-up style games. The controls are easy to learn and remember, and the difficulty level (for the most part) is just right-not too easy or hard. Even when the game shifts its focus, the story is easy to follow, even for beginners to the series. Tips and hints are displayed onscreen to help you progress through the level, as well. StarFox 64 also excels in the visual department, with bright, colorful graphics that are sometimes hard to believe on the N64. The game also incorporates a multiplayer mode, as well as a training mode to hone your piloting skills. Also worth mentioning is the very high replay value, as triggering different events while progressing determines which levels are unlocked. All of these features add up to a 9 out of 10 for this title. There isn't really any problems big enough to hinder the enjoyment of this game.

this game is one of the best games that i have ever played on my N 64. It has awesome sound and graphics, and it also has some killer multiplayer action.

Lots of fun, but is runs out quick. Not very challenging either once you get the hang of it. Far-out bonus levels!

I owned this game years ago and i had to get it again. I love playing this game when I'm stressed because by the third board all the stress is gone.

The voice acting might not be the greatest but it is a memorable game non the less. I never had very many memories of playing this game with friends, in fact I hardly played it. I've just heard good things about it so I'm planning on buying it to add to my N64 collection.

I remember playing Star Fox on the Nintendo 64 when I was young. Great game! Very action packed, good story line and enjoyable for children and teens alike! Absolutely love it and recommend it.
