Movie Description
STAR BLAZERS, the landmark 1970s anime, came to the US in 1979 and was an immediate hit. Still immensely popular in the states, STAR BLAZERS has finally made it to DVD in its English dubbed format in the year 2000. The series takes place in the year 2197, when the Earth has fallen under attack from an alien race called the Gamilons, whose radiation bombs will make the Earth unfit for human habitation within two years. So, the Space Cruiser Argo is launched to travel to the planet Iscandar, where it will pick up technology that can neutralize the Gamilons' radiation bombs. However, the Argo's crew faces an extra challenge: they must get to Iscandar and back to Earth within a year to be able to save the planet.
