Standard Catalog of Farm Toys by Krause Publications (2004, Paperback)

The Standard Catalog of Farm Toys, 2nd Edition, holds #1 rating for ease of identifying your farm toy and finding an approximate value, in my view.
This edition expands on the 1st edition, which was already very good. The editor, Karen O'Brien and contributing editor, Kate Bossen put together toy manufacturers' brief histories, scale size information, history on early farm toy collectors and their contributions to the hobby, info on the National Farm Toy Museum and much more.
This soft cover book is invaluable, informative and a must for farm toy collectors.

This is a very good book for all around prices of farm toys. I did notice however that the prices are very conservative, in value, perfect for buying an item, from somebody, but not the best for selling an item. This book is filled with hundreds of photos, which makes it ideal for taking to auctions, for exact identification of a particular item. Overall I would rate this book EXCELLENT

this book has lots of tractors and many different tractor companys, i found that this book has been helpful to me in look up tractor prices

the pictures need to be in color.how else are you to know what the exact original colors were?In that respect the book is poor.Also,if you are going this far you need to publish a complete list of toy tractors made in the United States,not just the ones you consider noteworthy.There are many toy tractors worth hundreds of dollars that are not even mentioned in this book.
