Stand and Deliver/Lean on Me (DVD, 2007, 2 Disc Set)

Each year more and more testing is forced upon the youth in public schools. Many lack motivation because they see no relevance to themselves; these videos help stress the importance of education and testing. They also demonstrate minority achievement in a world where the media sometimes fails to report the positive aspects of education.

Stand and Deliver and Lean on Me share much in common. Both are dramatizations of actual events at two public high schools that are in danger of losing their accreditation. Both are saved by the heroic actions of two men; a teacher and an administrator. And both are great movies. After watching them with me, my son called them "inspirational". I couldn't have said it better myself!

I love both of these movies and was so excited to see I could get them
both in one package. I sit my grandkids down with me so they can see
how hard teachers work.

I was looking for "Lean On Me" on DVD and I came across this package and I got to say that it's two great movies for one low price.

this double cd is nothing short of OUTSTANDING. the actor performances are incredible and i HIGHLY RECOMMEND each of these to movies to anyone.

I love the movie STAND AND DELIVER because it has awesome morals and is a inspirational movie to watch. I am also excited to see LEAN ON ME. It played great! ;)

Lean on me is one of the best movies ever! I bought this because it is one of my all time favorites ...love this movie!!

These are great inspirational movies about the effect that teachers can have on society. Sometimes teachers are not given the credit they are due. The lasting effect these two men had on the children whose lives they touched is amazing. We could all learn something from these movies. If you believe in someone they truly can exceed expectation regardless of background circumstances.
