SS Das Reich, Gregory Mattson

This is yet another excellent book in MBI's series on Germany's Waffen-SS divisions. The 192 pages are filled with a well-written history of SS Das Reich, from the unit's creation in 1938 to the battles on the Russian front, and finally the division's surrender to the Americans in 1945. Many rare B&W photos are included, along with some more familiar ones, providing excellent reference material for re-enactors and modelers. There are several photos of vehicles from the III Company, the famous Das Reich Tiger unit that scored higher than any other WWII tank group, and alos included are charts and tables of Waffen-SS rank and organization. Overall this is an excellent book, and for the price it usually goes for on eBay, it's a must. You won't be dissapointed - MBI's Waffen-SS series are some of the best reference books I've ever owned.
