Great THANKSgiving book!

This is a great book to be read around Thanksgiving. Tells about the first Thanksgiving as told from an Indians perspective as he travels around England and returns home to find his village gone and though his people were either taken for slavery or died from a sickness. He still goes on and finds comfort in helping the Pilgrims. He teaches his way of life to the Pilgrims and without that knowledge the Pilgrims would have run out of food.Easy read for kids. My daughter loved the book. Learning about squanto from this book and then hearing about squanto in another book reinforced her understanding of Indians and Pilgrims. I recommend this book, as I said, aroud Thanksgiving to learn about why we celebrate Thanksgiving. And how God had a plan for Squantos life even through some tough situations and through his many adventures. He was supposed to leave so that he could return to help the Pilgrims. (If he had stayed he would have died from the sickness with the rest of his tribe.) All in all, I liked the book, my daughter liked the book, gave an opportunity to talk about Thanksgiving and the meaning behind Thanksgiving. And introduce history of Indians and Pilgrims in a readable and easily understandable way.I recommend this book.
