Movie Description
When the notorious husband-and-wife spy team Gregorio and Ingrid Cortez (Antonio Banderas and Carla Gugino) is kidnapped by the evil Fegan Floop (Alan C******), the two Cortez children are the only ones who have the right skills and the insider know-how to help. Together Carmen and Juni Cortez (Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara) set out on their first spy mission to find Floop and rescue their parents. SPY KIDS is a high-wire family adventure that lets the kids save the day. Though director Robert Rodriguez was previously best known for violent action films like DESPERADO and FROM DUSK TILL DAWN, here he creates family-friendly fare that still shows elements of his trademark energy. SPY KIDS was followed by SPY KIDS 2: ISLAND OF LOST DREAMS and SPY KIDS 3-D: GAME OVER.

    Spy Kids

    I really liked this film. It's got a superstar cast of some of my favorite actors; Antonio aBanderas, Tony Shalhoub, Robert Patrick, Cheech Marin, Danny Trejo, Alan Cumming and Carla Gugino. Not to mention the great young actors that play Spy Kids Juni and Carmen Cortez (Daryl Sabara and Alexa Vega)

    The story is great and Writer/Director Robert Rodriguez really brings the story to life.

    This movie is not only fun for kids, but their parents as well. You can watch this movie quite a few times before it gets old.

    Final Verdict:

    4/5

    Rent or Buy?: Buy it for your kids, heck buy the whole set. For kids this movie and the other two in the set get a 5/5, for Adults they get a 3/5.
