Spongebob Squarepants - The Complete 1st Season (DVD, 2003, 3-Disc Set)

Ok, I am a die-hard Spongebob fan. If it's possible to wear out a DVD, it will happen with these. I have never been happier with a purchase. It's great, it has all the 1st season episodes. The extras on the 3rd DVD are worth the purchase price just by themselves. The extras include the creation of Spongebob, first season recollections from the crew and a really priceless special on the VOICES of Spongebob. Seeing the voice-over work being done by the actual people was awesome and hilarious. Both kids AND adults will love the extras. I won't spoil it, but think about the very first spongebob episodes, such as when Spongebob first meets Sandy and compare that to the most recent one. See any difference? That's the point!! it's basically impossible to tell apart epsiodes that are years apart, that's just how much effort and work went into getting the show right from the very start. Do the same with South Park or Simpsons episodes and the differences are like night and day. The extra on the creation of Spongebob is priceless and explains why you can't tell the difference between old and new episodes.

Other extras are some great Karaoke videos so you can learn some of the songs like the theme and the FUN song, etc.

DISC 2 is special because it includes the almost-never-seen epsiodes that ONLY come out at Halloween - Scaredy Pants and I Was a Teenage Gary.

Knowing what I know now about this First Season set, I would have paid double the actual retail price. You should be able to get it for less than $20 delivered and I can't recommend it highly enough
