If you are into J R R Tolkien the way I am, this book is a MUST! Flieger's insight into Tolkien's Mind and Myth are impressive, to say the least! Like Tolkien, she is a philologist herself, and has certainly done her "homework".
Warning: You will need a good knowledge of both The Lord of the Rings and The Silmarillion to be able to follow her logic. She is also impressive at linking Tolkien's Work to his Christianity without being superficial like so many of the recent works linking Middle-Earth to Christianity.
