Synopsis
Fans of THE DA VINCI CODE will just eat up this treasure hunt thriller. After Sir Toby Tebbit hires antique map dealer Harry Blake to decode an encrypted journal, Sir Toby is murdered in an apparent burglary, and Harry has various threatening encounters with people anxious to get their hands on the journal. Breaking the code on the book, Harry discovers an account by an Elizabethan-era young man who took part in the expedition to settle Roanoke, Virginia, a voyage punctuated by mysterious murders and infiltrated by the members of a treasonous conspiracy, and whose adventures hold the key to locating a legendary religious object.

Publisher's Note
Hired to appraise a four-hundred-year-old journal, supposedly by the cabin boy aboard Sir Walter Raleigh's 1585 expedition, antiquarian bookseller Harry Blake soon finds that the enigmatic volume is much more, when his client is murdered and he discovers that it could hold the key to a missing holy relic, lost for more than a millennium. Original.

Industry Reviews
"Deftly mixing history, science and fiction, Napier keeps the action escalating toward a satisfying climax."
