Minimal text married with simple illustrations pack a surprising punch! Readers experience a comical, warm, annoying exchange between two charcters through brief dialogue, facial expressions and body language. Ah, but what substance! There is much humor here, and much to identify with as a bear, who wants to be left alone, is pestered by an exuberant duck who wants nothing more than companionship. Children and adults will relate to the dueling needs and delight in the ending.

Great for 2 years olds due to the humorous illustations and short "sit time". Great for older kids for the insight.
