Splash (DVD, 2004, 20th Anniversary Edition)

A wonderful light, airy love story about a mermaid and human who is willing to become a merman to be with her for all eternity.
Cute wholesome movie that the whole family will enjoy. It keeps you laughing and rooting for the mermaid and booing the scientist who is constantly trying to chase her down. You'll find yourself actually wanting the scientist to get socked, hit and hurt just because of his treatment of the mermaid.
The brother, John Candy, is such a goof-off, but very tender hearted and in the end knowing he'll lose his brother forever, he doesn't hesitate to help him leave this world behind and go be with his true love.
This movie is a classic and will remain so. Buy it now, because it is becoming hard to purchase.

Outstanding classic romantic story in a DVD format (2004 issue). "Splash" is probably Daryl Hannah's best film. It's sometimes thought provoking and sometimes mindless entertainment - all at the same time. It will be a film you'll remember and almost everyone can get something out of it. It's rare that a mermaid movie hits the big screen with an all star cast - even though at the time it was made, the stars were not as well known as today. Note that this review is made with no knowledge as to who the potential seller may be.

I Had looked for this movie title many times before and was never able to find it. I am happy to finally find it and it was such a smooth and wonderful deal.

This was my FAVORITE movie when I was little. The "Little Mermaid" type story acted out by humans is great! I decided to buy this DVD because it is hard to find in stores, it reminds me of my past, and it is the 20th Anniversary Edition with such GREAT actors as Tom Hanks, Darell Hannah, and "The late" John Candy. An awesome movie that I had to have for my collection.

Splash - A good movie about a man who sees a mermaid when he is younger and meets up with her again when he is older. They fall in love, there is a bunch of funny scenes in between. It's a funny movie, give it a try.

I saw this movie as a child and now I have a little girl who LOVES mermaids. This film is adorable, and she can see a "real mermaid".

Definately Daryl Hannahs best movie ever. Tom Hanks is really funny. John Candy & Eugene Levy round out the great cast. Excellent film. Special features are great, showing original audition tapes.

We love the when the girl turns into a mermaid in the tub and her tail unfolds. It is also great to see Tom Hanks as a young actor.

This was a very hard to get movie. I looked every where. They had it online at Walmart but was cheaper for me to buy it on ebay. Price was great, the quality was great. All in all it was a great movie at a great price.

This movie is a bit slapstick but you will enjoy the story and it has many great laughs included at no extra cost. Go for it!

I bought this cause it's one of my favorite movies of all times, I will keep this for ever! I love Tom Hanks and the Mermaid. I'll love this movie for ever to come.

A great movie for the whole family. Tom Hanks plays a great role that will leave you speechless. Has a great ending that you do not see coming.

I love this movie and did since I first saw it when it came out in the movie theater. I was able to share it with my niece and now she fell in love with it too. I hadn't seen it in a while and forgot how cute it was.
