what can i say about repackaging music thats already been released? this is the same old crap with a different wrapper. but wait there is a dvd thrown in there to help make you think you're getting a better deal to buy something you already have. i was tricked into buying this and i really don't care for it. it is being used as a cat toy. yes, flip it on it's painted surface, toss it on some carpet and you got a cat slide. so if you have Rush CD's don't bother wasting your money on this CD. if you don't know jack about RUSH, buy it!
I have been wanting a Rush Cd Compilation for some time ..This was the best BET I have ever made . The cost and shipping time were excellent. The Cd is in excellent condition...Thanks to the sellers ...Grade A++++++++
It's nice to have all of these songs on a single disc, but this is mainly for the casual fan and not the collector.I was personally disappointed with the fact that there are no liner notes and after purchasing the 2-disc set,"Chronicles," found this disc to be unneccesary. If you're looking just for the highlights of Rush's career from the mid-'70s to the mid-'80s and nothing more, then you may want to consider purchasing this.

Pros: Very good digestible music from three progressive virtuosos during their most prolific and inspired years
Cons: This is the greatest hits, not the best of, if you get my subtle drift
This is a great band. Every album they ve ever released has gone gold or platinum, and that s without the help of critics or DJs, which brings some irony to the name of this album. Fifteen years ago, as rumor has it, the powers that had been at Mercury Records got the impression that Rush s best years were behind them (they were correct) and that there was no longer any profit potential (they were incorrect), and released them from their contractual obligations. The band has spent the time since then trying the regain stature (by producing stronger albums and by losing the 1980 s tinges that..

Pros: chronological order. many quality songs
Cons: few newer songs that aren't really hits. 2112 is shortened.
One of the great oddities of music is the Greatest Hits albums, or Best Of type albums. Some are great (Alice in Chains Best of the Box ) other can be totally maligned and defeat the purpose of having one (Megadeth s Back to the Start may come to mind). But fans of Rush need not worry, The Spirit of Radio is one of the better ones out there. Why is one of the better ones? Well, most importantly, it goes in chronological order, a must for Greatest Hits albums. But besides that, it includes more than just the hits it includes many songs that fans will appreciate too. Also, they stock the album..
