Spirit of '76
This is fantastic!
In the same vein as "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" it is a great spoof of all things "'70's".
I bought the DVD because two of the main characters are the awesomely talented and hip McDonald brothers Jeff and Steve (From Redd Kross, most underated band of the last century blah blah blah). They do a very believable job as young Californian dudes, and it's obvious that they LOVE the '70's.
Anyhoo....
B grade acting, hilarious casting of Leif Garrett and Keith Partridge (hahaha!)
some good sight gags and product references from the era.
I really liked it, but then I wish I lived in the same mental universe as Jeff McDonald, and there was no better place to be in the '70's than the good ol' US of A.
Brilliant cultural references (pop, drugs, music etc) and pretty colors man.
Don't just sit there, buy it!
