Iraqgate, How America Armed Iraq

An excellent book written in the mid 1990's, after Dessert Storm and preceding the War on Terrorism. This book proceeds from the Early Days or Arming Iraq to the Dassarming of Iraq after Dessert Storm.
A book that should be included in every high school curriculum, it details how the Reagan and Bush administrations illegally armed Iraq during the 1980's. It is indeed shocking to read the details, especially Donald Rumsfeld's mission to Iraq to negotiate in person with Saddham Hussein, Bushe's overiding of protest by various agencies in sending arms and especially dual-use items which could be used to assist in creating Iraq's nuclear weapons.
Well written and well researched! This is not a " conspiracy " book, written by an over the top anti-government fanatic, but it is a factual book written by a Brittish author who collected the documentation from US records and from the Brittish archives.
