Spider-Man 2 (DVD, 2004, 2-Disc Special Edition; Widescreen)

KIRSTEN DUNST... AS MARY JANE WATSON... really came across as Mary Jane Watson in this second movie of the planned trilogy!

Kirsten was born in 1982 and got her start as a child fashion model at the age of three in television commercials.

In 1989, Dunst moved to the big screen. Note: For you anime lovers out there, she voiced the role of KiKi in 'Kiki's Delivery Service' also in 1989.

When she was first cast as Mary Jane Watson for the first Spider-Man movie, I was wondering how she would come across like a redhead, since she is blonde, but she really did look and act like Mary Jane of the comic books in the first movie and even more in this second one. I was pleased with her performance!

The funny thing is that in the upcoming third movie Bryce Dallas Howard who plays Gwen Stacy is a red-head that plays the blonde part.... and Kirsten is blonde playing a red-head.... Go Figure !!

Kirsten graduated high school in 2000, and was playing Mary Jane in 2002 and in Spider-Man 2 in 2004. She really plays a wonderful Mary Jane role in my opinion, and I look forward to seeing her again the May 4th weekend of 2007, when the new movie opens...Spider-Man 3 with the Sandman & Venom!

I own both this DVD and the first movie's DVD, they are worth owning and re-watching!

Spiderman 2. This movie was the best of three. The fight scenes were just like a comic book. That was the best thing. If you like the comic, you will like this movie. Buy it!

There are very few movie franchises where the sequel to the origional movie is as good, if not better, then the origional movie. Spider-Man 2 falls into this category.

Spiderman 2 deals with a number of different themes. You have good verses evil that was done so well. You also have the inner problems of the hero. Peter Parker is always running off to save the day as Spidey, yet he finds that at times he doesn't want to. HE cannot hold a job down, his marks are falling, and he is always tired. You also have the villian, who really is not that bad of a guy. Oh, he does bad things but it is rationalized for the good of science!

Doc Oc was incredible. In my opinion he steals the movie whenever he is on screen. He is perfect.

Overall I'm totally impressed by this movie. It was perfectly done. As good if not better then the first. It outshines the third in the series by far.

It is rare that the second of a franchise is as good as the original, but this may very well be better. This story line further develops the characters introduced in the first and take the action to an entirely new level. The special effects of Dr. Octopus and the fight scenes are incredible. We are introduced to new possible story lines ot come and more devilish characters. If each of the movies to come is as good as this one, then Spider-man will reign supreme in the Super-hero world.

Don't miss this one, every second is money well spent.

Great action flick with a decent love story. Liked it even more than the first one, and that one was very good. If there is to be a Spiderman 3, it will have to be spectacular to beat this one. This one will be a "hard act to follow". One of the best of its genre.

Spidey 2 takes every other blockbuster comic flick up by the notches. Raimi continues his ingenious saga with a beautiful balance of drama building and action sequencing. This sequel leaves us wanting for more.

My kids love, love, love these spiderman movies. Honestly I think they are cute too. I, of course, baught this for my kids because they are spiderman nuts, but I like this movie because there isnt any nudity, or gore. It is a movie we can sit down to as a family and watch with no worries of seeing things that the kids shouldnt see. There is plenty of action packed fun with a love story to follow. Its all together a very nice movie.

This movie had excellent graphics. The storyline was a great sequal to the Original Spider Man movie. You must ADD this movie to your collection...BUT BUY Spiderman the Original movie first. Now you have two, add value when the 3rd movie comes out on DVD and you will definately have a collectors edition.

Please Trust...I have seen THOUSANDS OF MOVIES and this is a collectors edition.

As a sequel to a smash hit, Spidy II is full of action, love, villains and a great cast backing it up. This film from the beginning never lets up, keeping you on the edge of your seat. The twists and turns action packed villain of Dr. Otto Octavius leave you wanting more, and guess what, that is exactly what you get. Plus the beautiful Kirsten Dunst is even better.

I recommend this movie to anyone who loves good action, with a twist... A good love story with a twist... Go out and get your own version of Spidy II.. You won't regret it...

I can't wait till 5/4/07 and the new SPIDY III.....

Spiderman is back for his 2nd ride, leaving off from the last film, Harry is eager to get revenge on Spider-Man, Mary Jane is engaged, and Peter Parker would just like to settle down and have a normal life, and the saying "withgreat power, comes great responsibility" plays the key role in the movies story.
And just to think that Jake Gyllenhal was about to play spiderman, that would ruin the franchise, because the chemistry between Tobey and Kristen is just so good and they act their characters great together.
The sequal is filled with Phenominal Special effects, the introduction of a new character Doc Ock, more choices, and Spiderman is beginning to realize the consequences of the choices he is making. The acting, fair, you should expect the same of what you got out of the first movie, but as for Visuals and Story, Spiderman 2 really stands out with a unique story and ending, and non stop web-slinging action. There may only be only 1 thing i am quite skeptical about, and that would be the feel and presentation. From the first spiderman, every place, every scene has a relativity to one of the charaters. The houses, had that comic "surreal" feel which litteraly put you in the book, but dont get me wrong, this movie does that aswell, but i just feel it could have been better.

After watching some dissapointments this summer I am pleased to see an enjoyable movie and have a positive word about it.
Does it beat the original, well thats for you to decide, with there being more Special effects and action for me, Spider-Man 2 is Number #1 in my books.

I could not wait for this movie to come out & it did not disappoint me. Toby Mcguire does it again! There just must be something about that Spidey Suit!! Great action & twists. Keeps you going right to the end!

Good job i thought they might fall flat with 2 but i think they did a good job I'm from new york and i was in manhattan yesterday where they were filming spider 3 hope it is as much fun as 1 & 2

This is an excellent sequel. If you have not seen it, you have missed one of the best action movies of the new millenium.

It is rare that a sequel is as good as or better than the original (I can remember of only two and one was the 3rd installment... Aliens was far better than Alien and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was at least at the same level as the original). I know what you may be thinking... Star Wars had a bunch of pre-quels and sequels... none as good as the original though.

THIS is way better than the the first installment... and the fist installment was goooooood.

THIS is a must watch movie for everybody. Since it is no longer at the cinemas, I would recommend this even for young kids, 6 or 7 years old; however, some scenes are quite strong and violent for young children and parents must be strongly cautioned, I believe the movie is PG13 therefore please use your own discretion when showing this movie to the younger audience.

My boy is a huge Spiderman fan and we all enjoy watching these sequels. One of our Family Movie Night Favorites!!

One of the things I like is some one who tells the truth about their product with out streaching it just a little bit. Not in this case. Every thing was as the seller said it was.It was shipped out on time and recieved on time. It was in a safe shipping container. I decided to buy it "the movie spiderman 2 because it completed the trilogy set that I wanted.

I really like this movie. I think that it was far superior to the first and third one and I doubt that they will ever make one that competes with this one.

this wasa great sequel to the first mivie. i loved the first one and had to own all of them now. so if they make any more i will see them.

I wanted the whole series and love extra dicks for the dvd. The movie is good but I think its the 2nd disk that makes it worth it
