Speed Racer - Volume 4 (DVD, 2006)

This is the 4th Volume of the original animated series 'Speed racer'. A must have for the fans, a real treasure to discover for those who have never seen it before. The animation is not on par with today's standards (although 100 times better than the 'new' animated series of the same name), as can be expected, and the sound is really vintage but I always find it refreshing to watch. With its inventive storyline, likeable cast of characters and old school animation style 'Speed Racer' reminds me that you don't need to pour Billions of Dollars into a production to make it entertaining. My 4 and 6 year old kids love it too and the pace is perfect for them, unlike most of today's action cartoons, (not to mention the 'movie' they've made of it) it leaves them enough time to understand what's going on. This particular Volume contains 8 episodes (#37-44)and came with a Die-Cast Mach 5 as a Bonus!

What could be better then Speed Racer? The cheezy 60's graphics is fun to look at. Nostalgia at its' best.

i won a item from this business they run out of the item but they sent me a refund for the item i think they are the first to do this on ebay i think everyone should buy from them at less once i know i will buy from them again

I dont like the opacking it was sent out in a envlope not a brown box. I ahve to replace a collectors tin. also got 2 tracking numbers that is known to the post office. and I wated over 2 months. too many arugments. Too much grief.

I decided to buy it because I'm a big fan of Speed Racer. This is a great DVD with extra bonus like Mach 5.

The reason why I bought this speed racer-volume 4 dvd is because my boyfriend is a big fan of speed racer. He has 1,2,3,dvds and he would want this for his collection.

Always loved the speed racer series as a kid. Bring back many fond memories. My kids love the old series as well. I bought the DVD to add to the collection.

As a big fan of Speed Racer,i really enjoyed this volume,it came with a die-cast car,and was in great shape.

The Speed Racer DVD was awsome, this was the last dvd to finish my collection. The dvd just came in perfect, the package was all intact and not a single thing wrong with it!!!

Great flashback to my youth. My kids are now viewing these episodes and enjoying them just as much as I did when I was growing up. Too bad today's cartoons do not have the great stories as in the past; too much is focused on special effects.
